The present disclosure generally relates to a fuel additive composition for use in reducing corrosion and wear in an internal combustion engine or fuel component part thereof. The fuel additive composition includes a polyetheramine salt obtained by either (a) mixing a polyoxyalkylene monoamine and at least one of a dicarboxylic acid or a tricarboxylic acid or (b) mixing a polyoxyalkylene polyamine and at least one of a monocarboxylic acid, the dicarboxylic acid, or the tricarboxylic acid.

A fuel additive composition comprises (a) a Mannich reaction product and (b) a polyetheramine where the weight ratio on an actives basis of component (a) to component (b) is 1:4-10. A fuel composition and a method for removing intake valve deposits and combustion chamber deposits in a spark-ignited internal combustion engine comprise the fuel additive composition which is very effective in removing the deposits.

Disclosed herein are beta-amino ester surfactant compounds and compositions useful in applications relating to inhibition of gas hydrate agglomerates in the production, transportation, storage, and separation of crude oil and natural gas. Also disclosed herein are methods of using the compounds and compositions as gas hydrate inhibitors, particularly in applications relating to the production, transportation, storage, and separation of crude oil and natural gas.

The present invention relates to novel quaternized polyetheramines and to the preparation thereof. The present invention further relates to the use of these compounds as a fuel and lubricant additive. More particularly, the invention relates to the use of these quaternized nitrogen compounds as a fuel additive for reducing or preventing deposits in the injection systems of direct injection diesel engines, especially in common rail injection systems, for reducing the fuel consumption of direct injection diesel engines, especially of diesel engines with common rail injection systems, and for minimizing power loss in direct injection diesel engines, especially in diesel engines with common rail injection systems. The invention also provides additive packages comprising these polyetheramines; and fuels and lubricants additized therewith. The invention further relates to the use of these quaternized nitrogen compounds as an additive for gasoline fuels, especially for improving the intake system cleanliness of gasoline engines.
