    摘要: Methods and apparatus provide single or multi-port, flexible, cost-effective, built-in self-test capabilities for network communications equipment, such as for example switches, and programmably generate, and subsequently analyze, one or more sequences of test packets, wherein the test packets simulate at least two flows of traffic. Such test packets can have programmable headers, payloads, and duty cycle. A line card embodying the present invention may generate its own traffic pattern, which may be similar or identical, to traffic patterns observed on Internet backbones. These traffic patterns may contain a bimodal distribution of control packets interspersed with data packets wherein the control packets and data packets are relatively short and long respectively. A plurality of test packet generators/receivers can be deployed in a network communications device having a plurality of ports. In such a configuration, test generator/receiver is associated with each of the plurality of ports. Under software control, test packets can be sent from at least any one of the plurality of ports to at least any other one of the plurality of ports. In this way, an in-circuit testing procedure may be implemented without having to disconnect line cards from the switch and connect the switch to expensive external test equipment.

Once the ink cartridge (1) has been inserted into a receptacle (24) of an adapter (22), with which it forms an inkjet printing head, the sealing surface (10) presses against a frame which surrounds a receiving orifice (27) of the adapter (22), which receiving orifice is connected to a nozzle plate, so that the ink path is reliably sealed. The ink cartridge (1) can be conveniently inserted by a linear movement.

    摘要: A device is provided for use in covering a danger area on a roll changer that can carry at least one roll of material to be directed to a rotary, web-fed printing press. A cover is provided with a drive that can move the cover. A control unit is provided to control the drive for the cover. The cover is closed in a first operational state and is open in a second operational state. The roll of material, that is supported by the roll changer, has a first rotational speed or web speed when the cover is in the first, closed operational state. In the second, cover opened, operational state, the roll of material also has a second rotational or web speed which is greater than zero. A method for controlling a device on a roll changer is also disclosed.

    摘要: A circuit is described for balancing a power supply having a positive bus with a positive voltage, and a negative bus with a negative voltage. The circuit includes a transformer having a primary winding and a secondary winding. Switching circuitry alternately connects the positive bus and the negative bus to the primary winding of the transformer thereby generating a secondary voltage of opposite polarity on the secondary winding of the transformer. Recycling circuitry is also included which is coupled to the secondary winding of the transformer and the positive and negative buses. When the secondary voltage is greater than the positive voltage, power is transferred from the negative bus to the positive bus via the transformer and the recycling circuit. When the secondary voltage is less than the negative voltage, power is transferred from the positive bus to the negative bus via the transformer and the recycling circuit.
