    摘要: A hold-down strap and electrical terminal protector for a storage battery including an elongated body having a length substantially equal to the length of the battery and a width substantially less than the width of the battery, a connecting portion at each end of the body adapted to receive and cooperate with a hold-down connector secured to means for supporting the battery and means inboard of the connecting portions for substantially enclosing each of the battery terminals, the terminal enclosing means including a selectively openable access cover. Preferably the body has a generally inverted channel shape including a pair of generally vertical longitudinal walls interconnected by at least one cross member, the terminal enclosing means are defined in part by the longitudinal walls and the access cover is disposed over and between the walls and means are provided for latching the cover adjacent the upper portion of the other wall.

    摘要: A radiation detection system includes a radiation detector and a DC/DC converter that induces an electric field in the radiation detector. A counter circuit outputs a pulse related to the energy of each incoming radiation event on the radiation detector. The peak amplitude of each pulse output by the counter circuit is converted into a digital equivalent value. A means for processing processes each digital equivalent value and counts a number of pulses output by the counter circuit over an interval of time. A port has one or more data lines connected to the means for processing and one or more power lines connected to the DC/DC converter. The port facilitates a connection to a host system which provides a single DC voltage to the DC/DC converter which converts the single DC voltage into a higher level voltage that induces the electric field in the radiation detector.

    摘要: A solenoid for an electric starting motor housed in a generally cylindrical plastic cup. A pair of diametrically arranged fixed contacts penetrate the end wall, forming binding posts for a load circuit. A magnetic sub-assembly is provided consisting of an armature and wound bobbin surrounded by a hollow magnetic annulus having axial clearance openings. A movable contact sub-assembly includes a conductive disc mounted on an axial plunger which is seated against the armature. The disc has, on its opposite side, a return spring. When control current is applied the armature is sucked into the annulus overcoming the force of the return spring and shifting the conductor disc into seated engagement with the fixed contacts thereby completing the load circuit. The disc and fixed contacts both have substantial axial and radial thickness providing high heat capacity as well as high conductivity for prompt dissipation of heat. The fixed contacts are spaced from the disc at such distance that only a minor portion of the presented area is engaged by the edge portion of the disc to develop high contact pressure per unit area. The disc is freely rotatable with respect to the fixed contacts so that contact occurs in random positions on the disc for constant renewal of the contacting surface.

A second circuit (18, 20, 24, 26, 28, 30 and 32) outputs a counter value for each pixel signal having a predetermined relation to its threshold signal. Lastly, a third circuit 34 accumulates for each pixel 4 of the crystal array S a count of the counter values output by the second circuit (18, 20, 24, 26, 28, 30 and 32) for the pixel 4.

    摘要: A device and method for monitoring a subject's eyes. The device includes a light source producing light of a first wavelength and producing light of a second wavelength, and the device includes at least one image sensor positioned to receive light reflected from the subject's eyes. The at least one image sensor produces a first signal indicative of light of the first wavelength and produces a second signal indicative of light of the second wavelength. The device may include a controller connected to the at least one image sensor and receiving the first and second signals. The controller may subtract the first signal from the second signal and produce a third signal indicative thereof. The controller may also provide a synchronization signal to the at least one image sensor and may also provide the signal to other components, such as the light source. One or more filters may be provided in the path of the reflected light so as to filter the light before it reaches the at least one image sensor. One or more lens may also be provided to focus the reflected light before the reflected light reaches the at least one image sensor.
