摘要： An apparatus is disclosed for cutting and cauterizing of tissue. The apparatus comprises a cutting edge of a blade. The apparatus further comprises a conduit having a catalyst located near the conduit outlet, and the conduit is for delivering a combustible mixture of gases. The gases react in the presence of the catalyst and generate heat. The heat generated cauterizes blood vessels when applied to the cut tissue.
