摘要： A method for generating a signal to display a three-dimensional (3D) image, and an image display apparatus using the same are disclosed. The method includes receiving a first synchronization signal, generating a second synchronization signal, and generating an output signal. Therefore, a user may satisfactorily view a 3D image regardless of whether the synchronization signal received from a display device reports errors or whether there is an obstruction between the display device and shutter glasses.

摘要： A display apparatus includes a display panel which include a plurality of areas; a communication unit which receive information about brightness sensed by a pointing device; a backlight unit which includes a plurality of light sources; and a controller which controls the backlight unit to change the brightness of the plural areas by a predetermined unit, and determines a pointing position of the pointing device on the basis of relative variation in the information about the brightness. With this, it is possible to detect a pointing position of a pointing device in a display apparatus having a hold-type display panel.

摘要： A display apparatus for compensating an optical parameter, and a display method thereof are disclosed, the display apparatus including a display, an optical source unit, a voltage detection unit which measures the forward voltage of an optical source, and a control unit which controls driving of the optical source unit using a forward voltage of the at least one optical source. Accordingly, the variation of optical parameter is accurately compensated, and the cost for fabricating a temperature sensor and the time for measuring the temperature are reduced.

The LED-based optical system includes LED blocks composed of a predetermined number of LEDs; a sensor which senses output values of the respective LED blocks; and a control block which generates compensation rates by comparing initial output values of the respective LED blocks in an initial state with comparison output values of the LED blocks sensed by the sensor at a comparison time point, and controls current being supplied to the respective LED blocks in accordance with the compensation rates.
