    摘要: An electro-optic device includes: an electro-optic panel displaying a display image with illumination light emitted from an illumination device; a display control circuit controlling the electro-optic panel to display a right-eye image during a right display period and display a left-eye image during a left display period; a glasses control circuit controlling a right-eye shutter of stereoscopic vision glasses so as to maintain an open state during the right display period, controlling a left-eye shutter of stereoscopic vision glasses so as to maintain an open state during the left display period, and controlling both the right-eye shutter and the left-eye shutter so as to maintain a close state during a blocking period; and an illumination control circuit controlling the illumination device to vary an intensity of the illumination light in a pulsed shape during the blocking period.

The method includes receiving a first synchronization signal, generating a second synchronization signal, and generating an output signal.     摘要: A stereoscopic viewing system provides stereoscopic viewing using a two dimensional lens system and without having to have two cameras. The system may be used over a wide range of frequencies, in fact all frequencies that can be used for producing or reproducing an image. The viewing system has an opaque leaf positioned between the two dimensional lens system and a camera in a single image path, the opaque leaf is movable laterally in the single image path from a left position to a right position to provide a left image perspective and a right image perspective of the image path to the camera. A switching device moves the opaque leaf between the two positions and retains the leaf stationary in each position for a sufficient time for the camera to view each image perspective. A synchronizing system alternates the left image perspective and the right image perspective from the imaging system with a stereoscopic viewing device so that a viewer sees only the left image perspective with one eye and only the right image perspective with the other eye.

    摘要: An image viewing system to permit viewing of three-dimensional images, wherein users wear a pair of eyeglasses to view displayed images. The pair of eyeglasses include lenses having LCD polarizing filters and a LCD controlling unit configured to adjust the polarization of the lenses based upon the orientation of the glasses. A sensing unit, located on the glasses, monitors the orientation of the glasses and when the orientation is skewed from a default orientation, the sensing unit notifies the controlling unit of the new orientation. Upon receipt of the new orientation, the controlling unit then initiates a change in the polarization of the LCD filters. Adjustment of the polarization allows users of 3-D viewing glasses to freely adjust head position relative to the displayed images without compromising the integrity of the viewed image.

    摘要: An image display system which provides first and second images such that the right eye and the left eye of an observer see the first and second images at different times, respectively. The image display system comprises a camera for taking a picture of the observer and then outputting an image of the observer; a liquid crystal display device transparent to light, for displaying the first and second images at the different times, respectively; a back-lighting device which displays back light images to illuminate the liquid crystal display device from a back side thereof, at the different times; and an optical element for giving directivity to back light emitted by the back-lighting device so that the back-lighting device provides back light illuminations of the LCD device for the right and left eyes at the different times. The apparatus detects centroids or contours of images of the observer taken by the camera, and generates the back-light images on the basis of the centroids or contours. The apparatus synchronizes the display of the back-light images with the display of the first and second images, respectively.
