摘要： This invention is an awning structure having an awning sheet securable on one edge to a surface, an awning sheet roller, a support arm for the roller, a first bracket securable to the surface and attached to the lower end of the supporting arm in pivotal relation therewith, a brace pivotally attached to a second bracket securable on the supporting surface, the brace being contractable with a mid-portion of the supporting arm when in an extended position. The first bracket receives and holds in juxtapositional relation the brace and the support arm when the awning structure is in a collapsed storage position. The first bracekt and the second bracket are formed by a new extrusion method and have a notch-like aperture therethrough for mounting a pin.

摘要： A shock absorbing bumper unit for dampening and cushioning the loads applied to a motor vehicle by a towed trailer is provided. A trailer-hitch ball or similar towing connector member is fixed to the bumper which is connected to the motor vehicle frame for resilient, relative movement with respect thereto by a pair of telescoping bracket assemblies. Each of the bracket assemblies includes a female bracket element fixed to the frame and an associated, reciprocably movable male bracket element extending therefrom for supporting the bumper. Draw rods tie the associated bracket elements to one another, and the reciprocable movement of the male bracket elements together with the supported bumper is resisted by pairs of resiliently compressible sleeves fitted over each of the draw rods and entrapped within the bracket assemblies.

摘要： A large vacuum cleaner with height adjustment mechanism for the vacuum nozzle is provided. The adjustment mechanism includes two foot-operated levers, one effective to change the height of the nozzle in a direction away from the surface to be cleaned, and one to change the height of the nozzle in a direction toward the surface by releasing the first lever from a predetermined position. The mechanism is easily operated from the rear by an operator manipulating the vacuum cleaner by its handle. The mechanism is also simple, maintenance free, reliable, and inexpensive.

Spaced protuberances are struck into the rims of the spring discs and engage slots formed in the wheel web. The central portions of the spring discs are clamped against the wheel and the rim portions are free of clamping.

摘要： A control system is disclosed for washers, dryers and the like in which a motor-driven timer automatically operates the appliance through a predetermined cycle. The control system includes a mounting base adapted to be permanently connected to the appliance frame and a motor-driven timer which is removably plugged into the base with electrical connectors which function to provide electrical connection and the mounting of the timer. The connectors are provided in a pattern which prevents improper installation. Separate terminal assemblies are provided to plug into the rearward face of the timer for additional connections. Here again, the terminals provide both the electrical connection and the mounting of the terminal blocks.

摘要： A timer includes a disc-type of cam having circular tracks thereon for coaction with switches, all carried by a housing. A motor is mounted on the housing and has an eccentric that acts through a drive pawl on a series of peripheral teeth on the cam. A stop pawl is included which is pivotally mounted for movement about the rotational axis of the eccentric. The eccentric can rotate in either direction to produce incremental movements of the timing cam in one direction, and the pawls can be reversely mounted for use with an appropriate timing cam to produce timing cam movements in the opposite direction. The motor and eccentric can be removed without disturbing the assembled relation of the remainder of the device, such as for factory testing.

The side edges of the male web are stepped laterally outwardly to form a pair of detents, and a deep slot extends into the web from the leading end to define a pair of fingers each associated with one of the detents. The detents engage upon full insertion of the male member, and are finger releasable from engagement for withdrawal of the male member.
