    Abstract: A piezoelectric motor includes: a stator having an elastic body, a piezoelectric element and a sliding member adhesively attached to the elastic body; a rotor having an annular member, which includes a disc spring portion and a basic body portion in contact with the sliding member, and a fixture portion to which the annular member is fixed; and a shaft that rotates with the rotor, wherein the disc spring portion of the annular member is fixed to the fixture portion which is fixed to the shaft.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for improving Random Access preamble transmission in a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving a configuration of an initial power and a power ramping step for a preamble transmission. The method also includes transmitting a first Preamble using a first power based on at least the initial power and the power ramping step, wherein the first Preamble is the last preamble transmission of a first Random Access procedure. The method includes determining whether the first Random Access procedure is successfully completed. The method also includes transmitting a second Preamble using a second power based on at least the first power, wherein the second Preamble is the first preamble transmission of a second Random Access procedure.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for power headroom reporting in a wireless communication system. The method includes a UE (User Equipment) being configured with at least a first cell and a second cell. The method also includes the UE reports a PHR (Power Headroom Report) on the first cell in a subframe, wherein the PHR contains the power headroom value of the second cell, and the power headroom value of the second cell is derived using a specific PUSCH resource assignment regardless of whether there is PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel) transmission in the second cell in the subframe or not.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed to allocating and handling peer discovery resources. One method includes a wireless network allocating multiple sets of peer discovery resources, wherein different sets of peer discovery resources are used by user equipments (UEs) to transmit/receive peer discovery signals for different uses. Another method includes UE receiving a configuration of peer discovery resources from a system information message of a cell, wherein the configuration contains multiple sets of peer discovery resources and different sets of peer discovery resources are used by the UE to receive peer discovery signals for different uses. The method further includes the UE determining which set of peer discovery resources to receive peer discovery signals. The method also includes the UE receiving the peer discovery signals at a set of peer discovery resources determined by the UE.
