    摘要： A method and apparatus for providing a trick play service in a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) adaptive streaming (HAS) architecture for adaptively streaming media data according to fluctuation of a streaming environment are provided. The method at a server includes: generating a media presentation description (MPD) file including information about at least one piece of trick play data; transmitting the MPD file to a client; and transmitting the at least one piece of trick play data to the client in response to a request by the client based on the MPD file. The method at a client includes: receiving a media presentation description (MPD) file including information about at least one piece of trick play data; and receiving the at least one piece of trick play data from a server based on the MPD file.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for recommending information is provided. When a client accesses a server and requests information, the server determines whether the client is included in a meaningful set (MS) and generates first preference information of the client based on an access history of the client, or based on additional information directly input by the client. Then, the server selects a number of neighborhood groups including clients having preferences similar to a preference of the client, and generates and transmits first item information on a number of items preferred by the clients of the neighborhood group to the client. The client extracts second item information to be recommended to a user by filtering the first item information with second preference information. Information is filtered respectively by the server and the client by using different algorithms. Accordingly, it is possible to improve the accuracy and speed of recommending information.

    摘要： An apparatus for reducing PAPR (Peack to Average Power Ratio) in an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system includes: an IFFT (Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) unit for performing an IFFT on an input data stream modulated using a specific constellation to generate time-domain signals; a time-domain clipping unit for performing a time-domain clipping on the time-domain signals at a clipping level determined by characteristics of the time-domain signals; an FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) unit for performing an FFT on the clipped time-domain signals to generate frequency-domain signals; and a frequency-domain clipping unit for performing a frequency-domain clipping on the frequency-domain signals. The time-domain clipping reduces in the OFDM system, and the frequency-domain clipping reduces distortions generated by the time-domain clipping.

The system includes a message transmission condition setting unit, a Virtual Machine (VM) application provision unit, a message transmission target extraction unit, and a message transmission unit. The message transmission condition setting unit classifies message transmission conditions according to a user and stores the classified message transmission conditions in the DB, based on a preset message transmission condition menu. The VM application provision unit extracts the VM application and transmits the extracted VM application to the mobile communication terminal. The message transmission target extraction unit extracts an advertisement message transmission target based on message transmission conditions for the respective users. The message transmission unit transmits the advertisement message to the mobile communication terminal of the corresponding user, which is chosen as an advertisement message transmission target by the message transmission target extraction unit and has been provided with the VM application.
