    摘要: A trocar system is provide which preferably has a cannula having an elongate cannula body. The cannula body includes medial and distal portions thereof having a first diameter and a proximal portion thereof connected to the medial portion and having a second diameter. The second diameter is preferably larger or greater than the first diameter. A pair of finger grips are each connected to and extending outwardly from the proximal portion of the cannula body for gripping the cannula with the fingers of a hand of a user. A trocar having an elongate trocar body is positioned to extend through the cannula body. The trocar also having a handle connected to the trocar body for gripping of and handling of the trocar by a hand of a user.

    摘要: A trocar system is provided which preferably includes a cannula having an elongate cannula body. The cannula body includes medial and distal portions thereof having a first diameter and a proximal portion thereof connected to the medial portion and having a second diameter. The second diameter is preferably larger or greater than the first diameter. A trocar having an elongate trocar body also extends through the cannula. The elongate trocar body has a sharpened distal end portion, a medial portion thereof having a first diameter, and a proximal portion having a second diameter. The second diameter is preferably larger or greater than the first diameter. The trocar also has a handle connected to a proximal end portion of the trocar body for gripping of and handling of the trocar by a hand of a user and a shield slidably mounted to the medial portion of the trocar body and biased in an extended position so that a distal end of the shield coveringly protects the sharpened distal end of the trocar body until pressure is applied thereagainst so that the shield slidably moves toward the proximal portion of the trocar body in a retracted position. The shield has a third diameter which is preferably at least equal to or less than the second diameter.

The electronic device can include a circuit board, housing, a security shield, one or more pressure sensitive switches, and security electronics. The security shield can cover a first area of the circuit board and be configured to sense tampering. The security shield can also be integrated into the first part of the housing, wherein a second area of the circuit board is covered by the housing and is outside of the security shield, both the first area and the second area having electronics therein. The security electronics on the circuit board can be coupled to the security shield and the one or more pressure switches, and can be configured to zeroize data stored on the circuit board if the security shield senses tampering or if one or more of the one or more pressure sensitive switches is disengaged.

    摘要: A pulse sensing patch and methods of forming and using the same are provided. The patch preferably includes a main body having an upper surface, a lower adhesive surface and an opening positioned in a medial portion of the main body. The pulse sensing patch also includes a housing having upper and lower portions positioned to surround the opening in the medial portion of the main body. The patch further includes a pulse sensor positioned within the housing for sensing a pulse, and a visual indicator positioned to overlie the pulse sensor within the housing for displaying a visually recognizable pattern of the pulse. The method of forming the medical pulse sensing patch includes forming an opening in the medial portion of the main body, positioning pulse sensor for sensing a pulse within the opening of the main body, and positioning a housing having upper and lower portions to surround the pulse sensor. The method of using the pulse sensing patch preferably includes removing the pulse sensing patch from a sterile package, positioning the pulse sensing patch to overlie a user's skin, activating the pulse sensing patch by removing a lubricant cover positioned adjacent a lower surface of the medical pulse sensing patch, and visualizing a predetermined indication pattern representing the pulse.
