Abstract:
Disclosed is a technique for quickly detecting a defect of a portion welded by laser beam welding. Specifically disclosed is a welding step in which a welding device is used, the welding device welding an object to be welded with a pulsed laser. In the welding step, a first photodetector receives only infrared rays having a wavelength allowing detection of a keyhole formed in a molten pool from among infrared rays radiating from a welded portion during the welding of the object, and an analyzer determines quality of the welded portion on the basis of intensity of the infrared rays received by the first photodetector.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a ceramic electronic component having excellent solderability is provided. In this method, the elution of barium from the ceramic electronic component and the adhesion of ceramic electronic components in tin plating are reduced. The method for manufacturing a ceramic electronic component includes the steps of providing an electronic component of barium-containing ceramic and forming an electrode on the outer surface of the electronic component, the electrode being electroplated with tin. In this method, a plating bath used in the tin plating has a tin ion concentration A in the range of 0.03 to 0.51 mol/L, a sulfate ion concentration B in the range of 0.005 to 0.31 mol/L, a molar ratio B/A of less than one, and a pH in the range of 6.1 to 10.5.

An in-plane switching mode LCD panel has a plurality of scanning lines each supplied with a scanning signal at both ends of the each of scanning lines. A common terminal connected to the common electrode for the pixels and a block of scanning terminals to form a terminal block for achieving a uniform driving voltage among the pixels, thereby preventing cross-talk between the pixels and a achieving a uniform driving voltage among the pixels.
Abstract:
In a thin film transistor array, on a transparent insulating substrate made of glass or the like, a plurality of scanning lines is formed of a first conductive film. A plurality of signal lines is formed of a second conductive film and pixel electrodes are formed on a gate insulating film in a region enclosed with adjacent scanning lines and adjacent signal lines. Thin film transistors are coupled to the pixel electrodes, and light shielding films are formed of the first conductive film and form light shielding overlap portions with peripheral portions facing the signal lines of respective pixel electrodes via the gate insulating film. The light shielding film has portions near the both ends thereof along the signal line projected toward a side of the signal line to form correction overlap portions which overlap the signal lines via the gate insulating film. This allows a correction of an interruption in the signal lines to be effectuated without increasing load to the process and without adversely affecting display.
Abstract:
A TFT array for a liquid crystal display device in which inferiority due to electrification or abnormal discharge during fabrication process can be decreased. The TFT array comprises TFTs for display each connected to a respective one of pixel electrodes disposed in a matrix, gate wirings, signal lines, a common conductor line on the gate wiring side, a common conductor line on the signal line side, nonlinear elements respectively disposed between the gate wirings and the common conductor line on the gate wiring side and between the signal lines and the common conductor line on the signal line side. A gate electrode of a TFT in each of the nonlinear elements is formed separately from the corresponding common conductor line and is electrically coupled thereto via contact holes and a third conductor layer. A source/drain electrode of a TFT in each of the nonlinear elements is formed seprately from the corresponding common conductor line and is electrically coupled thereto via contact holes and the third conductor layer.
Abstract:
An antistatic hose is provided, including an inner layer of insulation material having a cylindrical configuration; a first electrically conductive fiber spirally arranged within the inner layer; a second electrically conductive fiber longitudinally arranged within the inner layer and electrically connected to the first electrically conductive fiber at the crossing points therewith; a linear reinforcing member spirally wound around the external surface of the inner layer and adhered thereto; and a member for covering both the inner layer and the reinforcing member and adhered thereto. The antistatic hose is able to prevent a material conducted by the hose from being charged by static electricity and also to discharge the static electricity from the material. In addition, an anti-collapse characteristic is achieved by the spirally wound reinforcing member and the cover member strongly adhered to both the inner layer and the reinforcing member to prevent separation therebetween.
Abstract:
In an automatic focusing screen unit transparent photoelectric transducing means at a central portion of the image receiving surface area of a glass plate are capable of generating an output signal commensurate with the sharpness of an image formed thereon by an objective lens of a camera. An electrical circuit for processing the output signal of the transducing means produces an output during sharp focus. In a preferred embodiment, this circuit is constructed in the form of an integrated circuit chip for incorporation in the unit together with indicating means responsive to the output signal of the circuit for indicating a sharp focus condition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an exposure control apparatus for a camera which is so designed that the output terminal of the light measuring circuit of the brightness of the object to be photographed having a photo electric transducing means is connected to one input terminal of an operation amplifier. The output of the photographing information setting circuit, having a variable resistance means for setting other photographing informations than the information of the brightness of the object to be photographed, is connected to the other input terminal of the above mentioned operation amplifier. This is done in such a manner that proper exposure conditions can be obtained by means of the output of the exposure control circuit connected to the output of the above mentioned operation amplifier. Each input signal to the operational amplifier is adjusted by a bias signal which is controlled in accordance with ambient temperature conditions.
Abstract:
An image sharpness detecting system employing two photoconductive cells of different geometry which permits detection of an optimum degree of sharpness of an image formed thereon regardless of variation in the direction of light distribution of the image relative to the electrodes of the cells. Differences between light response characteristics of these two cells due to the different geometry thereof are compensated for by providing optical means such as filter arranged between the cells, whereby the system is made accurately and reliably responsive to variation of light distribution even at low total light levels.
Abstract:
An automatic focusing system which includes a cylindrical image forming lens disposed in opposed relationship with a photocell. The cell and the cylindrical lens are ring-shaped so that the representation characteristic of the cylindrical lens for an object and the light reception characteristic of the photocell cooperate together to detect any pattern of object in accordance with an extreme output value of the photocell.
