摘要： The invention relates to an intermediary server that intermediates between at least one authentication server that performs authentication and a plurality of devices that performs various kinds of processing in accordance with the result of the authentication performed by the authentication server. The invention provides, as an aspect thereof, the intermediary server that includes: a request reception unit that receives authentication request data from any of the plurality of devices, the authentication request data being created in a predetermined common data format in such a manner that the authentication request data contains, without any limitation thereto, identification information that was inputted into the above-mentioned one of the plurality of devices; an authentication server communication unit that transmits the received identification information to the authentication server in a data format that can be processed by the authentication server and then receives, from the authentication server, the result of authentication performed by the authentication server on the basis of the transmitted identification information; and a result transmission unit that transmits the received result of the authentication to the above-mentioned one of the plurality of devices that is the original sender of the authentication request data.

A management device includes a file linking unit linking a plurality of management-information database structure definition files (MIB files). The file linking unit reads header portions of a plurality of MIB files, learns the connection relationship of the plurality of MIB files from the read content, determines the order of linking from the learned connection relationship, and links the plurality of MIB files while reorganizing the content of each of the MIB files, thereby obtaining a single file MIB (linked MIB file).

The charge bundle management server generates a charge bundle in accordance with a request received from the service provision terminal, and transmits the generated charge bundle to the charge bundle compatible device. Further, the charge bundle management server performs the charge process to charge the service provider the usage charge acquired during the charge notification process. When the charge bundle compatible device receives the charge bundle, it constitutes the usage status detection process, the charge calculation process, and the charge notification process based on the received charge bundle.

摘要： A printer is provided that stores raw data. Printing is performed with the material data merged together in accordance with a print instruction from a print instruction terminal. The material data is rendered in advance and then stored in a compressed form. However, part of the material data stored in the compressed form is decompressed to its original size and stored in a decompressed form. This allows a large amount of material data to be stored in a compressed form while also allowing the stored decompressed material data to be immediately used. As such, the time required to decompress frequently used material data is eliminated. This advances the printing start time to allow high-speed printing.
