    Abstract: In a laser irradiation device, a patterning method and a method of fabricating an Organic Light Emitting Display (OLED) using the same. The laser irradiation device includes a light source, a mask, a projection lens, and a Fresnel lens formed at a predetermined portion of the mask to change an optical path. When an organic layer pattern is formed using the laser irradiation device, laser radiation is irradiated onto a region of an organic layer, which is to be cut, and the laser radiation is appropriately irradiated onto a region of the organic layer, which is to be separated from a donor substrate. The laser radiation irradiated onto an edge of the organic layer pattern has a laser energy density greater than that of the laser radiation irradiated onto other portions of the organic layer pattern. As a result, it is possible to form a uniform organic layer pattern and reduce damage of the organic layer.

    Abstract: A laser induced thermal imaging apparatus and a fabricating method of organic light emitting diodes using the same, which laminate an acceptor substrate and a donor film using a magnetic force in vacuum, and are used to form a pixel array on the acceptor substrate. A substrate stage includes a magnet or magnetic substance. The acceptor substrate has a pixel region for forming first, second, and third sub-pixels, and the donor film has an organic light emission layer to be transferred to the pixel region. A laser oscillator irradiates a laser to the donor film. A contact frame is adapted to be disposed between the substrate stage and the laser oscillator, and is used to form a magnetic force with the substrate stage. The contact frame includes an opening through which the laser passes. A contact frame feed mechanism moves the contact frame in a direction of the substrate stage.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing an organic light emitting device by which a pixel defining layer can be easily formed. The method includes: forming a first electrode on a substrate; forming a photoresist layer to cover the first electrode; patterning the photoresist layer and forming a blocking layer so that the blocking layer is on a side of the first electrode opposite to a side facing the substrate; forming a pixel defining layer on the substrate to cover side ends of the first electrode; removing the blocking layer and exposing the side of the first electrode contacting the blocking layer; forming an intermediate layer including an organic light emitting layer on the side of the first electrode that is exposed by removing the blocking layer; and forming a second electrode on the intermediate layer.

    Abstract: A manufacturing method of an active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) display and an apparatus for manufacturing the AMOLED display, where the display has improved surface flatness and thickness uniformity as well as an improved image quality at edge regions of a pattern. According to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, an anode electrode is formed on a lower structure of a substrate, an organic layer is formed on the anode electrode by imaging a complex laser beam on a donor film disposed on the substrate having light emitting materials, the complex laser beam having energy distribution inclination over 2%/μm at a threshold energy. The donor film is removed, and a cathode electrode is formed on the organic layer.

    Abstract: Provided are a laser irradiation apparatus and method of fabricating an organic light emitting display using the same. The laser irradiation apparatus includes a mask positioned below the laser generator, and the mask is patterned such that lengths of an upper portion and a lower portion of a mask pattern are patterned longer than a length of a middle portion of the mask pattern with respect to the scanning direction. The method of fabricating an organic light emitting display includes scanning a laser beam on a predetermined region of the donor substrate using the laser irradiation apparatus to form an organic layer pattern on the substrate. When the organic layer pattern is formed using a laser induced thermal imaging (LITI) method, the transfer may be carried out using a laser beam having low energy, laser beam efficiency may be enhanced, the organic layer may be less damaged, and the quality of the organic layer pattern to be transferred may also be enhanced.
