    摘要: A method of servo writing a disk of a disk drive is disclosed, wherein the disk drive comprising the disk and a head actuated over the disk. Servo sectors are written to define servo tracks from a first diameter of the disk to substantially a middle diameter of the disk, wherein the first diameter is selected from one of the outer and inner diameter of the disk. Servo sectors are then written to define servo tracks from a second diameter of the disk toward the middle diameter of the disk by positioning the head over a current servo track, reading the current servo track to generate a read signal, processing the read signal to detect a previously written servo sector, and if a previously written servo sector is not detected, then writing servo sectors to the current servo track and positioning the head over a next servo track.

    摘要: A disk drive is disclosed which generates a pole tip protrusion (PTP) measurement by performing a write operation to heat the transducer while measuring a fly height of the transducer. A first data sequence written to the disk is read without heating the transducer to generate a first signal measurement. A second data sequence is then written to the disk in order to heat the transducer, and the first data sequence is again read to generate a second signal measurement. The PTP measurement is then generated in response to the first and second signal measurements.

    摘要: An activity recognition method, for recognizing continuous activities of several moving objects in the foreground of a video, includes: capturing and processing a training video to get a contour of a moving object; extracting a minimum bounding box of the contour in order to get parameters then transfer to feature vectors; constructing a decision tree model based on support vector machines (SVMs), for classifying the activities of the moving object according to the parameter and the feature vector of the training video; capturing and processing a testing video to get other parameters and using several formulas to generate feature vectors, and executing an algorithm for recognizing the activities of several moving objects in the foreground of the testing video. Said feature vectors are transformed from the parameters that in the testing and training videos. Via above descriptions, the method can recognize activities of foreground objects in the testing video.
