摘要： A positioning information transmitting device for transmitting the current site data to a peripheral device(s) using wireless signals. The current side data, as the positioning information of the current site, calculated by a portable telephone signal positioning processor 20 or a GPS unit 30, is transmitted to a CPU 12 through an interfacing (I/F) unit 11. The positioning information transmitting device 10 includes a local wireless communication unit 40 for transmitting/receiving data to or from the peripheral device(s). The current side data is transmitted from a CPU 12 through a communication controller 13 so as to be processed by a baseband processor 41 of the local wireless communication unit 40. The so processed data is superposed by an RF processor 41 on a carrier wave so as to be transmitted over a wireless path to a peripheral device(s) from a local wireless communication antenna 43.

摘要： A navigation apparatus displays navigation information generated based on map information. The apparatus includes a positional information acquiring section for acquiring positional information, a storage section storing two-dimensional map data, three-dimensional graphic data, and node-based altitude data of recorded altitude data of nodes which are set on a link used as a route, a data processor generating and outputting three-dimensional display information for a guidance region by receiving the positional information acquired by the positional information acquiring section, and acquiring data from the storage section based on the received positional information, and a display device displaying the information output from the data processor. The data processor calculates the altitudes of points on the route based on the node-based altitude data, and generates and outputs, to the display device, three-dimensional route information in which data of the calculated altitudes is set as a parameter.

摘要： Three-dimensional map data of drawing objects in respective division areas and distant view images in respective directions on map data, which are obtained when viewing is made from insides of the respective division areas, are held in a recording medium, three-dimensional map data of a drawing object for a near view positioned in a sight line direction at a point of interest is retrieved from the three-dimensional map data based on position information of the point of interest and sight line direction information, and is converted into a map image based on a perspective drawing method. A distant view image obtained in the sight line direction is retrieved from the distant view images held in the recording medium based on the position information of the point of interest and the sight line direction information, and the retrieved distant view image is overwritten with the map image for the near view to combine them.

In the POPI information pertinent to the POIs present in the complex of establishments, the complex of establishments, where there exists the establishment of interest, the floor where there exists the establishment of interest, and the coordinates on the image in the complex of establishments, where there exists the establishment of interest, are stated. The guide program 10 displays a marker for a point specified by the latitude/longitude stated in the POI information, when a map image is displayed, while displaying a marker for a point specified by the floor and the coordinate stated in the POI information, when an image in the complex of establishments is displayed.
