摘要： A sealing-enhancing coating for a gasket or a portion of a gasket comprises flaky particles of chemically exfoliated vermiculite, at least 90% by weight of said particles having a thickness of no more than 30 microns, and no dimension greater than 1 mm. The particles form 10 to 90 wt. % of the coating. The coating also comprises 50 to 10 wt. % of an organic polymer binder which when formed into a film 1 mm or less in thickness and heated to 300° C. in free air for 24 hours either does not decompose or decomposes leaving a residue of at least 20% by weight of film.

摘要： Bilayer materials are produced by drying a solution of an alkali metal silicate upon the surface of a flexible backing material until a flexible silicate film is produced. The film may be separated from the backing material and incorporated into laminated fire resistant glazings. The alkali metal silicate solution preferably comprise a surfactant. The bilayers may be transported or stored before the flexible silicate film is separated and incorporated into a glazing.

摘要： There is disclosed a device of the calculating rule type that is useful in music analysis to assist in spelling chords and determining scales, transposing of chords or notes, identifying key signatures, determining minor keys relative to their major keys, performing chord analysis, determining relationships among chords, and writing of music. The device comprises a base plate member with at least one movable member mounted thereon. There is provided a plurality of 12 indicia representative of the 12 notes of an octave of the musical scale disposed on one of the members in a linear, circle of fifths progression. The other of the members bears an index mark and a plurality of 11 calibration marks in linear progression thereon. Also disposed on the other of the members is a plurality of indicia cooperative with the first plurality of indicia to perform the functions of spelling of chords and scales and of transposing of chords or notes.

摘要： Fire resistant glazings comprise a fire resistant interlayer based upon a silicate waterglass are characterised by the incorporation of aluminium ions. The aluminate is incorporated as a solution which has been partially neutralised using hydroxycarboxylic acid which is preferably citric acid. The incorporation of aluminium provides glazings have improved fire resistance and impact properties.
