    摘要: A ferroelectric liquid crystal display and a fabricating method thereof that is capable of improving light efficiency by preventing light efficiency deterioration due to the low voltage holding ratio of a ferroelectric liquid crystal. The ferroelectric liquid crystal display supplies red, green and blue data signals to each of the liquid crystal cells and is in a stand-by state during a responding period of liquid crystal, and then sequentially generates red, green and blue lights corresponding to each of the red, green and blue data signals. With this configuration, deterioration in brightness due to the low voltage holding ratio of the ferroelectric liquid crystal can be prevented and the light efficiency can be increased.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display is provided that includes liquid crystal pixel cells arranged at each intersection between a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines, a thin film transistor associated with each pixel cell, a storage capacitor, and a smectic liquid crystal between an upper substrate and a lower substrate. The smectic liquid crystal has spontaneous polarization in a range of approximately 2 nC/cm2 to 100 nC/cm2 and a storage capacitance is in a range of approximately 1 nF/cm2 to 13 nF/cm2 for optimizing transmittance depending on the spontaneous polarization of the smectic liquid crystal.

    摘要: The present invention is related to a method of fabricating a ferroelectric liquid crystal display which prevents problems of injecting liquid crystal that result from a volume shrinking of the liquid crystal during the injection process. In the method, the pressure in a chamber is changed to above a liquid crystal injection pressure, while cooling a liquid crystal panel after injecting the liquid crystal, and at the same time, the temperature of a liquid crystal tray maintained at a liquid crystal injection temperature, to continue injection of the liquid crystal to an otherwise un-injected portion of the liquid crystal panel, so that an problems related to inadequate injection can be prevented.
