摘要： Novel 4,4-diphenylbutyl-1-(4-benzoyl-4-hydroxy or acyloxy)-piperidines and acid addition salts thereof, useful as central depressants, e.g., neuroleptics (anti-psychotics), are disclosed. Methods of making same, pharmaceutical compositions thereof, a method of treating therewith, and important and novel intermediates for the production thereof, namely, 4-benzoyl-4-hydroxypiperidines, are also disclosed, as well as 4-benzoyl-1-(4,4-diphenylbutyl)-piperidines, which are also useful intermediates.

摘要： Novel spiro 1-(hydroxyalkyl)-piperidino derivatives and acid addition salts thereof, useful in the prevention and treatment of dental caries and periodontitis, are disclosed. Methods of preparing said derivatives, orally acceptable compositions containing said compounds, and a method of treatment therewith are also disclosed.
