    摘要: In a handheld type four-cycle engine, a valve operation mechanism includes a camshaft rotatably supported in a cylinder head so as to open and close an intake valve and an exhaust valve and a timing transmission placed on one side outside an engine main body and providing association between a crankshaft and the camshaft, and a centrifugal clutch for power output is mounted on the crankshaft on the opposite side outside the engine main body. The timing transmission and the centrifugal clutch being positioned at the two ends of the crankshaft improves the weight balance, the centre of gravity of the engine can be made as close to the central part of the crankshaft as possible, which, together with the reduced weight, can enhance the operability of the engine.

    摘要: In a working engine including a bearing mounted on an outer wall of a crankcase for carrying a crankshaft, an oil seal mounted on the outer wall of a crankcase and disposed outside and adjacent the bearing, and a cooling fan which is attached to an outer end of the crankshaft adjacent the oil seal with its blades turned toward the crankcase and which has blades protruding toward the crankcase, a cylindrical protective tube is formed on an outer sidewall of the crankcase to cover ends of bosses of the cooling fan, and a foreign matter-beating piece is formed on the cooling fan 16 in proximity to an outer peripheral surface of the protective tube. Thus, even if a long foreign matter drawn in by the cooling fan such as a weed and the like has been entangled around the crankshaft, it can be beaten and loosened, or cut by the foreign matter-beating piece rotated along with the cooling fan. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the entanglement around the foreign matter around the crankshaft, thereby avoiding damage to the oil seal as a result of the entanglement.

    摘要: An air-cooled engine includes a cooling fan mounted at one end of a crankshaft supported in a crankcase, and a shroud for guiding cooling air flow produced by the cooling fan encloses an outer periphery of a cylinder block. The engine further includes an auxiliary cooling fan mounted at the other end of the crankshaft, together with an auxiliary shroud for guiding cooling air flow produced by the auxiliary cooling fan to an outer periphery of the crankcase, so that the absorption of heat from the cylinder block by the crankcase can be effectively increased. Thus, it is possible to enhance the effect of cooling of an air-cooled engine without increasing the size of the cooling fan and the shroud thereof.

    摘要: A logical operation method for evaluating a train of output data to be obtained when a plurality of input patterns are successively applied to a memory element whose output value depends upon a sequence of input values. For each of the plurality of patterns in time series, the method decides whether or not the pertinent pattern is a holding pattern which means that the output value of the memory element depends upon a preceding pattern. Subsequently, the method evaluates a first train of data which consists of flags each indicating whether or not the respective pattern is the holding pattern, and a second train of data which consist of a predetermined logical values for the holding patterns and output logical values of the memory element for the non-holding patterns. Finally, the method subjects the first and second trains of data to operations in parallel by the use of a parallel arithmetic unit, thereby obtaining the train of output data of the memory element in parallel. High-speed logic/fault simulations can be realized even for a synchronous sequential circuit with the parallel arithmetic unit such as vector computer. This makes it possible to sharply reduce the number of man-hour and shorten the processing period of time in the verification of logic and the generation of test data.

    摘要: A driving force transmission mechanism and method according to the present invention transmits the driving force of a single motor selectively to a plurality of driven gears, comprising a sun gear rotated either in a forward or reverse direction by the motor, a planetary gear engaging the sun gear, and a plurality of driven gears arranged along the revolution orbit of the planetary gear. A driven gear with which the planetary gear is desired to engage is selected by rotating the sun gear in one direction. The driving force is transmitted to the selected driven gear via the planetary gear by rotation of the sun gear in the opposite direction. The proper gear is selected by use of a sensor. Using the driving force transmission mechanism, various driving systems can be driven by a single motor without the need for a complex switching mechanism. The transmission mechanism may use more than one planetary gear and may use more than one planetary gear assembly.

    摘要: An exposure control apparatus of a camera includes a first switch which can select a plurality of drive modes including an auto-exposure bracket mode (AEB mode), a second switch which issues signals when operated, a third switch which can modify an exposure correcting value and a memory which stores a plurality of predetermined exposure correcting values. A drive mode selector successively selects the drive modes in response to signals from the second switch when the second switch is actuated during the operation of the first switch. A modifying device successively selects an exposure correcting value to be used to correct the exposure value among those stored in the memory in response to signals issued from the second switch when the latter is actuated during the operation of the third switch. A photographing controller is provided which takes a plurality of pictures at different exposure values in an exposure width correcting values selected by the modifying device when the AEB mode is selected.
