摘要: A system for managing the transfer of agricultural material from a material-transferring vehicle to a material-receiving vehicle. An unloading chute is adapted to transfer material from a first storage container of the material-transferring vehicle to a material-receiving vehicle alongside the material-transferring vehicle. A location-determining receiver is adapted to estimate position data for guiding the material-transferring vehicle. An image sensor is mounted on the material-transferring vehicle or the first storage container for estimating a lateral separation distance between the first storage container and the material-receiving vehicle for receiving the material. An electronic data processing system guides the material-transferring vehicle based on the estimated position data and the estimated lateral separation distance, to maintain a generally constant target lateral separation distance between the material-transferring vehicle and the material-receiving vehicle during the transfer of the material.

摘要: A system for collecting a harvested product is provided. The system may include a continuously constructed flexible container for collecting the harvested product. For instance, the continuously constructed flexible container is a continuous sheet of flexible material such as plastic. A sealing device may be included within the system which is operationally coupled to the continuously constructed flexible container to allow the container to be sealed in discrete increments. Further, the system includes a traceability device operationally coupled to each of the discrete increments of the continuously flexible container to allow the harvested product included within each increment to be tracked. The use of the continuously constructed flexible container allows the harvested product to be collected continuously.

摘要: An automatic wind-drift compensation system is provided for an agricultural sprayer. The system includes a control unit adapted to receive input data including wind speed and direction, vehicle speed and direction, and desired spray overlap. The control unit is programmed with a set of instructions for processing the data and generating output data. The output data facilitates steering of the sprayer through the field to achieve the desired spray overlap.

摘要: A lever assembly includes a housing having a pivot slot formed in one end thereof. A lever has a pivot pin slidably and pivotally received in the slot and is pivotal from a centered position to displaced positions. An end of the lever carries a roller. The pivot slot is elongated in a direction which is tilted at an angle with respect to a longitudinal axis of the lever when the lever is in its centered position. A lever spring is biassed to urge the lever to its centered position. The housing also forms a stop which is engagable with the lever to prevent pivoting of the lever into a first displaced position unless the pivot pin slides within the slot and towards the stop. The housing also forms a detent device which engages the roller and releasably holds the lever in a displaced position. Portions of the housing integrally form the stop and the detent device. The detent device is formed in part by a movable member which projects from a central portion of the housing. The movable member forms a first operating surface which faces generally towards the slot, a second operating surface which is tilted with respect to the first operating surface and which faces generally away from the lever when the lever is in its centered position. The operating surfaces are engagable with the roller. A detent spring is biassed to urge the movable member towards the slot.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a method for acquiring elevation data for an area. The method includes using a GPS receiver to map ground elevations while driving back and forth over an area and periodically recording position, elevation, and time. Then, at least one track is made across the parallel tracks so that the cross track intersects the parallel tracks. The data obtained is processed and elevation data from the cross track is used to adjust elevation data for the parallel tracks, compensating for elevation drift in measurements recorded by the GPS receiver. The adjusted data for the entire area is processed using the method of the present invention to obtain an elevation map for the area.

摘要: A circuit for both transmitting and receiving information in the form of light energy using a single light-emitting diode. Signals are received by the diode from a fiber optic light pipe or bundle and are converted into electrical energy. A transmission section in the same circuit converts electrical energy into light energy in the diode to transmit information. The system, therefore, requires only one diode and one optical connector at each end of the light pipe or bundle for two-way communications.
