Abstract:
An arrangement for radially extending partition members insertable in the inside circumference of cap-like closure covers, or a sealing flange edge of a further cover part, comprising the use of strap projections emanating from the lower inside edge of the closure cap spread equidistantly over its circumference inwardly bevelled and rising towards the base of the cap in concentric circle having supports facing subsequently thereto radially against the cap wall for a radial fit mounting relative to the cap wall.
Abstract:
A pressure compensation valve arrangement for opening automatically with the occurrence of a pressure difference on opposite sides of a dividing wall including a valve stem having a valve head at one end biassed into sealing relationship against an annular valve seat by a compression valve spring acting at the side of the dividing wall remote from the head and at a flange at the other end of the valve stem. The valve stem at its other end has a hollow cavity and has laterally recessed openings between vertically shaped connecting ribs. The cavity and openings communicate with a passageway bounded by the valve seat when the pressure on the valve stem exceeds a predetermined safety value.
Abstract:
A locking cover for a pipe connection having an inner member with a radial sealing flange detachably locked with an overlapping outer cap by means of a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism comprises engaging projections, extending radially inward from the wall of the cap, which in turn includes a guide surface directed inward as well as a connecting surface to engage the sealing flange. The connecting surface is bent in a convex or arcuate shape from the radial inner end of the guide surface to the wall of the cap. Thus, the sealing flange lies with its edge on the connecting surface. In this way the outer cap can spring loose when force of a given magnitude is exerted upon the inner member without breaking the locking mechanism.
Abstract:
A gas tank cap has an inner part connectable to a gas tank filler pipe and an outer part biased outwardly away from the inner part by a spring and normally freely rotatable relative to the inner part. One or more passages in the cap communicate with the filler pipe and with the ambient atmosphere and have valves interposed in them which are so positioned that when the outer part is pushed towards the inner part the valves are automatically opened to vent pressure from the gas tank. Only after the valves have opened in response to pushing of the outer part towards the inner part do the two parts become coupled for subsequent joint rotation so as to permit removal of the gas cap from the filler pipe.
Abstract:
A pressure relief valve has a valve disc with a valve stem extending through a valve opening and an annular sealing washer disposed between the disc and a valve seat about the valve opening operated by a limitedly flexible, spring loaded, longitudinally ribbed, holding element with a conically tapering central aperture through a central hub thereof through which the valve stem extends to dispose an enlarged valve stem head behind a hub shoulder.
Abstract:
A closure cover consisting of an inner cover member having a substantially cup-shape capable of engaging with the aperture to be closed, the cover member including a sealing flange adapted to co-operate with the edge of the opening, an overlapping outer cap member rotatably mounted on the circumference of the edge, which cap member has a centrally located, firmly seated hollow support member for a cylinder lock, the lock being rotatably mounted therein, the cap member being axially supported by a radially displaceable bolt, movement of said bolt being effected by an eccentric, whereby the cover is coupled to the inner cover component, and provided with a sleeve-shaped surrounding component with base closure at the bottom for sealing against the exterior, for a freely rotatably outer cap secured by a key when the inner cover component is firmly tightened on the socket opening wherein an inner cover member has a first cup-shaped member having a radially directed edge flange including a revertive free end portion and has further a cup-shaped member including a base portion mounted therein, said further cup-shaped member having a radially outwardly directed edge flange locatable between the two portions of the flange of the first cup member, whereby the two cup members are firmly interconnected, are rotatable within the outer cap and are sealed to the exterior, and a cylinder lock centrally rotatably mounted within the outer cap which is key-actuated, the cylinder lock including radially displaceable coupling bolt which engages between ribs distributed at equally spaced intervals around the wall surface of the further cup-shaped component, which ribs project in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the component adapted to the size and shape of the bolt.
Abstract:
A lockable closure cap has a displaceable catch projection. A centrally located lock cylinder is supported in a cylindrical socket located within the cap. The cylindrical socket has an eccentric collar on which a locking ring carrying the catch projection is supported, and the cylindrical socket is rotatable with the lock cylinder to displace the locking ring via its eccentric collar. A sealing ring is supported on the upper edge of the outer socket for providing a liquid-tight seal while allowing automatic pressure compensation.
Abstract:
A closure cap for containers or for use as a pipe socket closure including a rigid partition having a pair of valves acting in opposite directions for automatically compensating for pressure inequalities on either side of the partition. The valves include additional means for providing improved sealing support on the partition under the action of compression springs.
