摘要: An expansion tank includes a tank body mounted inside a housing forming a sump, and defining an internal expansion volume. A fluid inlet opening in the tank body is in communication with the sump and the expansion volume. A combination valve may be disposed on a lower end of the tank to control fluid flow between the sump and the expansion volume. The valve may be a combination duckbill valve and umbrella valve. Fluid enters the expansion volume through the umbrella valve when sump pressure exceeds expansion volume pressure by a first predetermined amount, and fluid exits the expansion volume through the duckbill valve to the sump when expansion volume pressure exceeds sump pressure by a second predetermined amount. The tank body may include a cover on which an inlet tube is formed.

摘要: Apparatus to protect sealing surfaces of thief hatches are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a first portion that is attachable to a tank, wherein the first portion includes a first opening, and a second portion that is pivotably coupled to the first portion. The example apparatus is structured to provide access to an aperture in the tank via the first opening when the second portion is in an open state and maintain a pressure of the tank within a specified range by selectively separating one or more seals from one or more corresponding sealing surfaces when the second portion is in a closed state, wherein the second portion includes the one or more seals and the one or more corresponding sealing surfaces.

摘要: A fitting arrangement for a cask is disclosed having a fitting sleeve with a riser pipe arranged therein, and resiliently moveable relative thereto. The fitting sleeve has a conically extending inner sealing surface tapering toward an upper end, and a seal is incorporated between the inner sealing surface and the upper end of the riser conduit. The riser pipe is pressed with the seal against the sealing surface with a spring force, and the seal is arranged internally in the upper end of the riser pipe, wherein a sealing body is arranged in the upper end of the riser pipe and is resiliently moveable relative thereto, which sealing body comes to bear with form-fit engagement on an internal sealing surface of the seal as a result of the spring force.

摘要: The mechanical breather valve includes a valve body, on which is installed one-way air inlet and outlet components. A tank, for environmental protection, is fitted with the breather valve and closed so that no volatile gas will be exhausted, when the pressure within is balanced with the outside. When the pressure within is negative, the one-way air inlet hole will draw air from outside to keep the balance of pressure. When the pressure within is increased, one-way air outlet hole will exhaust the additional air. When the tank is tilted or placed upside down, the breather valve can prevent the oil from flowing out of the tank for safe usage.

摘要: A vacuum valve with a housing having a valve seat, a closure member which, in a closed position, is pressed against the valve seat, and a manual actuator, by which the closure member is displaceable in a linear manner and which includes a screw transmission, which is actuatable by a rotational element and has a first driving part connected to the rotational element and a second driving part connected to the closure member. The driving parts have mating external and internal threads. A closing spring acts between the valve housing and the closure member. The first driving part is displaceable relative to the valve housing parallel to the closing direction, and with the closure member in the open position, the closure member is held against displacement in the closing direction by a supporting stop against which a stop face of the rotational element or of the first driving part abuts.

摘要: In one embodiment, a vent assembly for mounting on a collapsible storage tank is provided including a flange member having a central hub, and a flange extending outwardly from the central hub; a top sealing layer of flexible fabric having a hole for receiving the central hub and mounted at least partially over the flange and extending outwardly beyond the flange; an intermediate sealing layer of flexible fabric having a hole aligned with the opening in the hub and mounted beneath the flange and extending outwardly there beyond and bonded to the top sealing layer beyond the flange; and a wall of the collapsible storage tank formed from flexible fabric material, the intermediate sealing layer bonded to the wall.

摘要: An isolation manifold includes a manifold body, a process connection at a first end of the manifold body, a pressure transmitter connection at a second end of the manifold body, a passageway through the manifold body, an isolation valve, and a pressure limiting device. The process connection is for fluidly connecting the isolation manifold to a process vessel or conduit containing a process fluid. The pressure transmitter connection is for fluidly connecting the isolation manifold to a pressure transmitter. The passageway fluidly connects the process connection to the pressure transmitter connection. The isolation valve is operable to selectively block the passageway to isolate the process connection from the pressure transmitter connection. The pressure limiting device fluidly connects to the passageway between the isolation valve and the pressure transmitter connection. The manifold may preferably include a pressure snubber within the passageway to increase the flow impedance of the passageway.

摘要: A breather valve comprises a valve body having a valve fluid passageway terminating in a valve seat. The valve body includes a pressure pallet guide and the valve seat has double lips. A pressure pallet having a size commensurate with the valve seat is mounted on the pressure pallet guide for limited motion towards and away from the valve seat. The pressure pallet has a sealing side oriented to face the valve seat. A flexible diaphragm extending inside the valve seat is secured to the sealing side of the pressure pallet outside the valve seat. A gap lies between the double lips of the valve seat. A liquid source is in fluid communication with the gap lying between the double lips of the valve seat. A liquid seal provides protection against freezing, gumming and leaking of the seal.

摘要: An aircraft comprises an overpressure valve, the overpressure valve comprising a sealing member which is moveable, in response to a first pressure differential across the valve, between a closed position and an open position. The overpressure valve further comprises a frangible portion, for example a carbon or sheet metal disc. The frangible portion is arranged to fail in response to a second pressure differential across the valve, the second pressure differential being more than the first pressure differential. Thus the valve is still able to relieve pressure when the sealing member is jammed (due to ice for example). It is therefore relatively safe. The valve may be in the surge tank of a fuel tank system.
