    摘要: A fuel cap has a torque mechanism that transmits a rotational torque to a casing main body through engagement elements in response to rotation of a cover. When the rotational torque exceeds a predetermined level, the engagement is released to give a click. The first torque arm is constructed as a cantilever beam having a free end facing an arm support member across a preset gap. Under application of pressure, the first torque arm is deformed and transmits a rotational torque in the closing direction to the casing main body. This arrangement assures setting of the rotational torque of the torque mechanism to the predetermined level to apply a sufficient sealing stress to the fuel cap.

    摘要: An anti-twist device for a sealing cap that is located on a fixed connecting piece of a motor vehicle radiator. The sealing cap comprises an external cap part with a grip element and a sealing element, which can be connected to a counter sealing element of the connecting piece and in relation to which the grip element can be rotated. The sealing cap also comprises an internal cap part comprising a valve assembly that is configured in an excess/negative pressure combination. An anti-twist stop acts in the external cap part between the grip element and the sealing element. An anti-twist device of this type that has a no-load function instead of a locking function and yet has a simple construction and is easy to produce. To achieve this, the anti-twist stop can be actuated by means of a drive, which is controlled by the operating data in the container and is located inside said container in close proximity to the external cap part.

    摘要: A fuel cap has a male threading element which is formed on an outer circumference of a closer of the fuel cap, a female threading element which is formed on an inner wall of a filler neck, and a handle. Rotation of the handle in a closing direction screws the male threading element into the female threading element. A stopper formed on the male threading element comes into contact with the start end of the female threading element to complete the closing operation. At this fully closed position, a gasket located between the closer and a sealing face of the filler neck is pressed and displaced in an axial direction to seal the sealing face of the filler neck with a sealing face pressure of not less than a preset level.

    摘要: The invention relates to a sealing cap for openings in motor vehicle radiators which is provided with a cap inner part (4) having a flow connection between the interior of the container and the exterior of the container as well as a valve arrangement (5) for unblocking and blocking the flow connection. The valve arrangement (5) comprises a first (7) and second (8) valve body which can move between an unblocking position and a blocking position in a to-and-fro manner. The first valve body (7) is prestressed in the direction toward the interior of the container and is supported in this direction on a first sealing seat (13) located on the cap inner part (4) and on a second sealing seat (14) located on the second valve body (8), said second sealing seat lying inside the first sealing seat (13) in a radial manner. During unblocking of a fluid connection between the interior of the container and the exterior of the container, the first valve body can be respectively lifted from the cap inner part (4) when a first limiting value of the container interior pressure is exceeded and can be lifted from the cap inner part (4) and the second valve body (8) when a safety limiting value of the container interior pressure is exceeded. The second valve body (8) is configured as a structural component (8) which extends perpendicular to the direction of movement of the valve body (7, 8). The structural component has an opening (15) which lies inside the second sealing seat (14) of the first valve body (7) in a radial manner and which is fluid connected to the interior of the container. A third sealing seat (26) provided on the cap inner part (4) is assigned to said structural component outside the second sealing seat (14) of the first valve body (7) in a radial manner up-to the exterior of the container. The structural component lies on the third sealing seat at a third limiting value which is between the first and second limiting value for the container interior pressure, whereby the component blocks a previously existing flow connection between the interior of the container and the exterior of the container.

    摘要: An overflow arrangement which includes an upstanding fluid retaining wall spaced radially outwardly from and encircling an upstanding externally threaded fillneck on a surge tank or overflow reservoir so as to define an annular channel therebetween. A cap adapted to be screwed onto and off of the upstanding threaded fillneck is provided, the cap having a generally circular-shaped top wall, a skirt depending downwardly from a radially outer periphery of the top wall and a radially outwardly extending flange contiguous with a lower extremity of the skirt to a radial extremity overlying an upwardly facing extremity of the upstanding fluid retaining wall. An elastically compressible seal is oriented between the upwardly facing extremity which becomes compressed between the upwardly facing extremity and the radially outwardly extending flange in response to a screwing of the cap onto the upstanding threaded fillneck, the radially outwardly extending flange moving toward the upwardly facing extremity in response to a screwing of the cap onto the threaded fillneck and away from the upwardly facing extremity in response to an unscrewing of the cap from the threaded fillneck. A drain connection is provided leading to a location remote from the tank or reservoir for facilitating a removal of fluid connected in the annular channel therefrom.
