Abstract:
A vehicle seat has a backrest which is mounted displaceably in the vehicle by a sliding block guide. In order to enable a vehicle seat of compact configuration to be easily fitted, the backrest has a locking mechanism which secures the backrest releasably in the sliding block guide.
Abstract:
In a method for adjusting the temperature of a motor vehicle seat, which includes a seat ventilating system and a seat heater, to a predetermined desired value, in which the temperature of the seat is detected in the region of a seat surface by a first temperature sensor and the outside temperature is detected by a second temperature sensor, the seat ventilating system is switched off below a first temperature threshold for the outside temperature, and the seat heater is switched off above a second temperature threshold for the outside temperature. By these measures, an occupant may be provided with a comfortable micro-climate in the seat region for his/her well-being.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat includes a lower leg support fastened pivotably to a seat cushion. The lower leg support may be moved in an infinitely variable manner between a stowaway position and a position of use and may be fixed in a freely selectable position. To provide reliability against incorrect operation, the lower leg support includes an overload safeguard which releases the fixation of the lower leg support in the event of overload, thereby allowing it to give way.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle's rear bench seat has a back seat structure acting as a reclining back and at least one cam plate for guiding the seat back structure relative to a part affixed to the car structure. An element is provided for the absorption of energy, acting in case of a collision, between the cam plate and the part affixed to the car structure.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat has a headrest with a center pad and two side pads that are laterally hinged to the center pad. The side pads are swivellable forward into a resting position and back into a supporting position. The center pad has a variable pad hardness, with a firmer pad hardness in the supporting position than in the resting position.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat having a seat surface and a seatback is tiltable about a transversely extending pivot axis. The seatback is arranged to be tiltable from an upright seat position into a tilted resting position. In order to achieve a comfortable setting of the headrest in all seat positions and resting positions, the seatback has an automatically driven height adjustment apparatus and an automatically driven tilt adjustment apparatus, each positioned within the seatback.
Abstract:
A folding-table arrangement is assigned to a vehicle seat and has tabletop arrangement with at least one tabletop being accommodated in a receiving housing which is arranged laterally next to the vehicle seat. Each tabletop of the tabletop arrangement can be pulled out upwards and folded down into an approximately horizontal in-use position in which the tabletop arrangement is held by the receiving housing by a support. The tabletop arrangement together with its hinge pin which connects it to the receiving housing is guided in a sliding manner between its pulled-out and its pushed-in position in a guide shaft of the receiving housing. The concomitantly moved hinge pin of the tabletop arrangement is fixed on a guide slide which runs in the guide shaft of the receiving housing and, in the in-use position of the tabletop arrangement, is displaced into an upper end position in the guide shaft.
Abstract:
In a seat cushion for a vehicle seat, the seat cushion is joined to a frame by a disengageable locking apparatus that has a wire spring engaging behind a mushroom head. The wire spring has two opposite limbs that at their one end are joined to one another and at their other end are open. In order to ensure a secure attachment, the two limbs of the wire spring may have at their open end an eye which engages behind a strut shaped onto the cushion shell.
Abstract:
In order to provide a safety device for a comfortable seat having a seat surface and a backrest which may be transferred from a sitting position into a resting position and vice versa, the safety device being used to increase the safety of vehicle occupants on the comfortable seat, the comfortable seat includes with a seat belt system which includes a belt strap which is fixed in the region of the seat surface via a belt end fitting and is stored on a belt-retracting mechanism arranged in the upper region of the backrest, a belt buckle being provided on that side of the seat surface which is opposite the belt end fitting so as to couple up the belt strap via a belt tongue in accordance with a three-point belt system, and, in the event of an accident, the belt strap being tightened via the belt-retracting mechanism and a pretensioning system engaging on the belt end fitting.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat includes a lower-leg support, transferable from a stowed position into a utilization position, and a footrest. To achieve comfortable support with easy operation, the footrest has a footplate that may be folded out and that is located in the stowed position approximately parallel, and in the utilization position approximately perpendicular, to the lower-leg support, and coacts with an energy storage device.
