摘要: A spreader plate assembly for a pumped source of sand, water and rocks. Includes a generally horizontal plate spaced upstanding threaded rods affixed integrally with the plate, a splash guard affixed to the plate and located adjacent to a predetermined edge portion. An angled pipe receiving end attached to a pipe line containing slurry under pressure and an exiting end dispose above the plate located forward of the guard. Spaced arms extend horizontally from the exit end of the pipe and having collars slide on respective rods. Nuts are threaded below and above each collar, for adjusting distance between the exit end and plate to adjust the slurry output. Nuts adjust the collars to be equidistant from the plate, or the nuts on the forward rod can be adjusted to increase the distance of its collar from the plate to control the angle and control the direction of slurry.

摘要: A washing liquid distribution system includes a spiral separator having a plurality of flights, each flight including at least one receiving cup for distributing liquid onto the flight. A directional outlet nozzle is mounted in cup for providing a horizontal outlet stream of a liquid. The nozzle is both rotatably and releasably mounted in a recess at the bottom of the cup. One or more outlet openings in a variety of geometric shapes to provide the desired outlet stream of wash liquid.

摘要: This invention relates to an apparatus and method for electrostatically separating particles having different electrostatic properties. The apparatus involves two thin box-shaped electrodes facing each other as mirror-images and charged with a voltage field causing the opposing electrodes to assume opposite charges, and then passing a mixture of particles through the field so as to make the particles travel toward the respective electrodes through a perforated plate or screen and to a solid back plate and then to fall by gravity through a splitter adjusted to separate particles attracted by one charge from particles attracted by another charge. A vibrator is attached to each electrode, which is isolated for movement by spaced vibration isolators to shake off any particles stuck to the electrodes.

摘要: An accommodation ladder includes a body having opposite sides, an upper, and rear and bottom surfaces. The body is formed of a compressible material, such as dense foam material, and the upper surface of the body forms a staircase with a plurality of steps. Spaced stanchions extend upwardly from the staircase and stanchion pipes extend through the body and receive lines therethrough to secure the body to a marine structure. The spaced stanchions are adapted to accommodate a plurality of releasable safety lines therebetween. A method of facilitating access between adjacent first and second marine structures includes arranging the staircase accommodation ladder between the structures, the accommodation ladder being a fender between such structures.

摘要: A mold for the interior surfaces of one or more spirals is rotated and heated to a temperature sufficient to melt a weldable plastic such as LLDP or HDP plastic in a predetermined amount deposited thereon. Plastic powder not melted is recovered and redeposited until all the plastic powder is melted. The mold or molds are then actively cooled and the formed spiral is removed. An insulation layer is used to improve heating and cooling efficiency, and to control the areas where plastic is deposited. A cover closes the back of the mold.

摘要: A material separator system and method for magnetically separating components of feedstock by directing the feedstock onto a thin rotating shell enclosing one or more rotating magnetic rolls capable of riding upon the interior of the shell. In one embodiment, a cam-and-bearing arrangement is used to permit the magnetic roll and shell each to rotate on its own independent axis. This provides the ability to adjust clearance, the line of contact, and the degree of contact between the magnetic roll and the shell. In another embodiment, a different arrangement provides the same capabilities. The system can be configured to drive a magnetic roll, which then drives the shell, or it can be configured to drive the shell, which then drives the magnetic roll. The system can also be configured as a retreater for retreating feedstock.

摘要: System and method for a continuous process for separating particles according to their magnetic properties such as Curie point includes a feed of hot particles having different magnetic properties on a moving surface spaced above a stationary magnetic assembly. The temperature of the bed of particles is controlled to enable selective separation of different factions of particles based upon the temperature of the particles. The magnets are maintained substantially below their Curie point. Gaseous nitrogen is fed into and from the inside of the magnetic assembly to enhance the cooling of the magnetic assembly and to inhibit oxidation. The gas exits through high temperature bearings to inhibit debris therein. A thermal shield is placed between the moving surface and the magnets and below tubes carrying a cooling fluid to maintain magnets substantially below their Curie point. The entire process is contained with an inert gas-purged cabinet.
