摘要: The invention refers to a shuttering mechanism for controlling translation of a longitudinally moveable component within an elongate housing, the shuttering mechanism comprising at least one set of castellations on the housing and at least one resilient arm associated with the longitudinally moveable component, the resilient arm having a dog resiliently biased towards the castellations so as to engage between or behind the castellations and block the translation, wherein a respective shutter arm is arranged alongside the set of castellations, the shutter arm having a number of consecutive ramped protrusions spaced from each other, wherein the castellations and the ramped protrusions have the same pitch, wherein a profiled surface is formed by the castellations and the ramped protrusions, wherein the shutter arm is moveable in longitudinal direction with respect to the set of castellations, wherein the shutter arm has at least one locking position with its ramped protrusions essentially in phase with the castellations thus allowing the dog of the resilient arm to catch between or behind the castellations and wherein the shutter arm has at least one unlocking position with its ramped protrusions out of phase with the castellations in such a manner that the ramped protrusions prevent the dog from engaging with the castellations or disengage them thus allowing translation of the longitudinally moveable component.

摘要: The invention relates to an auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament (M), comprising of an elongate housing arranged to contain a syringe with a hollow needle and a bung for sealing the syringe and displacing the medicament (M), the elongate housing having a distal end (D) and a proximal end (P) with an orifice intended to be applied against an injection site, wherein the syringe is slidably arranged with respect to the housing; spring means capable of, upon activation, pushing the needle from a covered position inside the housing into an advanced position through the orifice and past the proximal end (P) as well as operating the syringe to supply the dose of medicament (M); and activating means arranged to lock the spring means in a pressurized state prior to manual operation and capable of, upon manual operation, releasing the spring means for injection. The spring means is a torsion spring grounded at one end in the housing and at the other end in a first gear member rotatable about a longitudinal axis but axially fixed wherein the first gear member, upon rotation, is arranged for translatively moving a second gear member, the second gear member prevented from rotating and coupled to the bung in order to push it towards the proximal end (P), wherein the first gear member is engaged with the activating means prior to manual operation in a manner to prevent rotation and disengaged from the activating means upon manual operation. The activating means is a trigger button, arranged at a distal end (D) of the housing and operable by being pressed in proximal direction (P).

摘要: According to the invention, a back-end device of an auto-injector adapted to be attached to a packaged syringe comprises a plunger arranged to abut against a stopper of the packaged syringe to translate an injection needle of the packaged syringe in a proximal direction and to expel a dose of a medicament contained in the packaged syringe through the injection needle, a drive means capable of, upon release, driving the plunger in the proximal direction towards a proximal position, a rotary sleeve with a cam surface adapted to be engaged by a plunger follower formed to the plunger, a torsion spring arranged to exert a torque upon the rotary sleeve and a release element capable of, upon manual actuation, releasing the engagement of the plunger follower with the cam surface. The plunger follower is arranged to engage the cam surface to prevent the rotary sleeve from rotating with respect to the chassis in an initial state. Furthermore, in the initial state the plunger follower is arranged to engage the cam surface to prevent an axial translation of the plunger in the proximal direction. Upon release of the engagement of the plunger follower with the cam surface, the rotary sleeve is arranged to rotate within the chassis. The cam surface re-engages the plunger follower after a time delay determined by a rotation speed of the rotary sleeve. The time delay is set so as to allow the cam surface to re-engage the plunger follower after the plunger reaches the proximal position. The cam surface is arranged to withdraw the plunger from the proximal position in a distal direction by continued rotation of the rotary sleeve.

摘要: The invention relates to an injection device, comprising a syringe with a hollow needle and a stopper for sealing the syringe and displacing a medicament (M) stored in the syringe, the injection device further comprising a drive means, a plunger arranged for pushing against the stopper and an arrangement for transferring a translation of the drive means to the plunger, the arrangement comprising an elongate release latch member pivoted at one end which is connected to either the drive means or the plunger, the release latch member having another end for engaging the respective other one of the drive means or the plunger, wherein the release latch member is arranged to have its non-pivoted other end disengaged by rotation due to contact between at least one ramp and another component when the stopper has at least nearly displaced all of a predefined dose of the medicament (M), wherein a length of the release latch member is specified so as to provide a clearance between the plunger and the drive means when the release latch member is engaged in order to allow at least the plunger, the stopper and the hollow needle to be retracted at least far enough to hide the needle inside the syringe or inside a housing after disengaging the release latch member.

摘要: An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament (M) is presented having an elongate housing arranged to contain a syringe, a proximal end (P) with an orifice, wherein the syringe is slidably arranged with respect to the housing. A drive spring upon activation pushes the needle from a covered position inside the housing into an advanced position through the orifice and past the proximal end (P), and operates the syringe to supply the dose of medicament (M). An activating means locks the drive spring in a compressed state. The housing distal and a proximal portions are connected by a hinge, and are rotatable about the hinge between an aligned position and a maximum opening angle. A loading bay for holding the syringe is arranged in the proximal portion.

摘要: The invention relates to an auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament, comprising: an elongate housing, a syringe with a hollow needle and a bung for displacing the medicament, wherein the syringe is slidably arranged with respect to the housing, spring means for pushing the needle from a covered position inside the housing into an advanced position past the proximal end and for supplying the dose of medicament, activating means for locking and releasing the spring means. The spring means is a torsion spring grounded at one end in the housing and at the other end in a lead nut rotatable about a longitudinal axis but axially constrainable. The lead nut is arranged for translatively moving a piston rod by means of a lead screw thread. The piston rod is prevented from rotating relative to the housing and arranged to be coupled to the bung in order to push it forwards. The lead nut is engaged to the housing in an initial position prior to manual operation of the activating means in a manner to prevent rotation and disengaged from the housing by the activating means upon manual operation.The activating means is a trigger button, arranged at a distal end of the housing. Prior to manual operation the trigger button, the piston rod and the lead nut are coupled for joint translation in proximal direction. In the initial position the lead nut is engaged to the housing by at least one spline feature. The lead nut is arranged to disengage from the housing on translation in proximal direction from the initial position.

摘要: The invention relates to an auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament, comprising: an elongate housing, a syringe with a hollow needle and a bung for displacing the medicament, wherein the syringe is slidably arranged with respect to the housing, spring means for pushing the needle from a covered position inside the housing into an advanced position past the proximal end and for supplying the dose of medicament, activating means for locking and releasing the spring means. The spring means is a torsion spring grounded at one end in the housing and at the other end in a lead nut rotatable about a longitudinal axis but axially constrainable. The lead nut is arranged for translatively moving a piston rod by means of a lead screw thread. The piston rod is prevented from rotating relative to the housing and arranged to be coupled to the bung in order to push it forwards. The lead nut is engaged to the housing in an initial position prior to manual operation of the activating means in a manner to prevent rotation and disengaged from the housing by the activating means upon manual operation.The activating means is a trigger button, arranged at a distal end of the housing. Prior to manual operation the trigger button, the piston rod and the lead nut are coupled for joint translation in proximal direction. In the initial position the lead nut is engaged to the housing by at least one spline feature. The lead nut is arranged to disengage from the housing on translation in proximal direction from the initial position.
