    摘要： A cover, a board assembly and a method for protecting a board are provided. A tool for trimming edges of a board is also provided. The tool has blades disposed on opposite sides of a frame which enable a user to trim edges of a board simultaneously and symmetrically. A top portion of each of the boards is trimmed proximate to lengthwise edges. In an alternate embodiment, the boards are trimmed prior to assembly of the deck to create a groove along each of the edges. A cover, constructed from a wood/plastic composite, is placed on each of the boards. The cover extends across a top surface of each of the boards and into the grooves created by trimming of the board. Accordingly, a deck utilizing-one-or more covers may be used for a prolonged period of time.

The panel has a length of about 144 inches and a width of about 32 inches. The system of panels may have similar dimensions and may include, for example, edge profiles which are complimentary, such as a tongue and groove arrangement. The dimensions of the panel may allow, for example, more convenient cutting, handling, carrying, and support spacing options. Edge profiling along the panel may allow a system of panels to be assembled conveniently while offering optimal structural properties.

    摘要： A cover, a board assembly and a method for protecting a board are provided. In an embodiment, one or more boards are adjacent lengthwise, as in a floor of a deck or wall. A top portion of each of the boards is trimmed proximate to lengthwise edges. In an alternate embodiment, the boards are trimmed prior to assembly of the deck to create a groove along each of the edges. A cover, constructed from a wood/plastic composite, is placed on each of the boards. The cover extends across each of the boards' top surface and into the grooves created by trimming of the board. The cover may be secured to the board via an adhesive and/or a fastener and limits direct contact between the board and, for example, ultra-violet rays and/or precipitation. Accordingly, a deck utilizing one or more covers may be used for a prolonged period of time.

    摘要： Systems for attaching a plurality of wood products are provided. In a first type of system, a first wood product has a first chemical compound applied to a surface of the first wood product. A second wood product has a second chemical compound applied to a surface of the second wood product. An adduct is formed when the first chemical compound contacts the second chemical compound wherein the first wood product becomes adhered to the second wood product. In a second type of system, a pressure sensitive and/or anaerobic adhesive is placed on at least one of the wood products prior to assembly. The compounds/adhesives have an open assembly time greater than or approximately equal to 24 hours.
