摘要: A method includes receiving signaling from a base station, where the signaling includes information descriptive of a muted resource element pattern configuration when operating in a cell that is associated with at least one multi-cell cooperation area. The method further includes making at least one measurement according to the received information for at least one of the cooperation areas for making an interference estimate and transmitting measurement results to the base station. Another method includes transmitting signaling that contains information descriptive of a muted resource element pattern configuration to a user equipment operating in a cell that is associated with at least one multi-cell cooperation area. This method further includes muting resource element transmissions in accordance with the information descriptive of the muted resource element pattern configuration; and receiving from the user equipment at least one measurement made according to the transmitted signaling for at least one of the cooperation areas. In these methods different cooperation areas are associated with mutually orthogonal muted resource elements. Corresponding apparatus and computer programs stored on non-transitory computer readable medium are also disclosed.

摘要: A set of J predetermined power level offsets that scale transmission power per user are stored in a local computer-readable memory. A set of N users to which are allocated overlapping downlink frequency resources are selected. From the stored set is then selected a power level offset. An indication of the selected power level offset is signaled to at least one of the N users; and the at least one of the N users are also sent a multiplexed transmission using the selected power level offset. N is an integer at least equal to two, J is an integer at least equal to two, and at least one member of the set is other than 1/n in which n is any positive integer less than Nmax in which Nmax is a maximum number of users that can be multiplexed together. Various embodiments include an apparatus such as a network access node, a method, and a stored computer program. Also detailed are apparatus and method and stored computer program for practicing the invention from the perspective of the user/UE.

摘要: A resource allocation for a specific user equipment (UE) is encoded using an encoding scheme that identifies a specific antenna port from among a plurality of antenna ports; and the encoded resource allocation is output to the specific antenna port for transmission to the specific UE. The UE blindly detects its control channel and determines its resource allocation by decoding the control channel using a decoding scheme that identifies a specific antenna port from among the plurality of transmit antenna ports. In various embodiments, the scheme is in scrambling or masking (using an ID of the antenna port or UE); by the order of bits when encoding, port specific mapping constellations, and adding bits that give the port index.

In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises at least one processor and a memory storing a set of computer instructions, configured. The processor is configured to cause the apparatus to determine a linear phase variation between at least first and second transmissions from first and second transmission points based at least in part on a propagation delay difference between the first and second transmissions, and transmit the phase variation information for at least the first and the second transmissions. An apparatus configured to operate as a transmission point in a network receives linear phase variation information indicating phase variation experienced by at least one user equipment resulting from a propagation delay difference between at least the apparatus and a second apparatus operating as a second transmission point and manages transmission so as to control phase variation resulting from the propagation delay difference.

摘要: A method includes allocating length-2n spreading codes to reference signals contained on first and second groups of resource elements in a first physical resource block and to copies of the reference signals contained on a selected group from the first or second groups and a third group of resource elements in a second physical resource block. Each length-2n spreading code is determined using a first length-n spreading code allocated to the first group and a second length-n code allocated to the second group, or using whichever one of the first or second length-n spreading codes is allocated to the selected group and a third length-n spreading code allocated to the third group. Symbols for the reference signals and their copies are spread and transmitted on the first and second physical resource blocks.

摘要: A scrambling sequence is initialized using at least a cell identifier and an offset, and a physical downlink control information DCI is sent to a user equipment which indicates the offset. In more particular embodiments a user equipment-specific reference signal UE-RS is scrambled using the initialized scrambling sequence, and the scrambled UE-RS is sent to the UE for demodulating a downlink shared channel (PDSCH). In another exemplary embodiment the generated UE-RS is sent in a pilot part of a subframe transmission associated with the PDSCH and is for demodulating at least a data part of that subframe transmission. In a specific embodiment from the UE side, the UE receives the UE-RS and the DCI which indicates the offset, descrambles the UE-RS using a scrambling sequence that is initialized using a cell identifier and the indicated offset; and demodulates the PDSCH using the de-scrambled UE-RS.
