    摘要: A frame skipping process suited to a scene is achieved by providing an encoder which encodes input image data, an encoding determination unit which compares image movement information with a threshold to determine whether or not encoding is to be performed, a frame skipping controller which performs a frame skipping control if encoding is not to be performed, and a threshold correction unit which corrects the encoding determination threshold based on the result of the encoding process. The image movement information used in the encoding determination unit is any one or a combination of pixel movement information obtained by a representative point matching scheme performed by a pixel movement calculation unit, angular velocity sensor information obtained from a lens controller, and frequency information obtained from an image processor.

    摘要: When an input image is received from an imaging element, a detection circuit detects frequency information of the input image, and an electronic shake processing circuit detects shake information (motion amount) of the input image. A CPU receives the frequency information and the shake information via an image processing circuit. The CPU increases a compression ratio of the input image when high frequency components are dominant, and decreases the compression ratio when low frequency components are dominant. The CPU also increases the compression ratio when the input image is moving, and decreases the compression ratio when the input image is not moving. A compression/decompression circuit compresses the image based on the compression ratio thus set.

    摘要: A comparative time of a first data stream accumulated in a buffer memory is compared with a comparative time of a second data stream (S113). If the comparative time of the first data stream is earlier, the first data stream is multiplexed (S114). On the other hand, if the comparative time of the first data stream is later, the first data stream is not immediately multiplexed. When a data stream is accumulated in a buffer memory, the comparative time of the data stream is a multiplexing reference time indicating the timing of reproduction of the data stream, which is obtained based on time information contained in the data stream or the like (S116). On the other hand, when a data stream is not accumulated in a buffer memory, a multiplexing predicted time which is predicted as the multiplexing reference time of a data stream which is to be next accumulated is used as the comparative time of the data stream (S117). As a result, data streams which should be simultaneously reproduced can be easily sorted and multiplexed even when smaller-size buffers are employed.
