摘要： A reflective liquid crystal display device is provided in which, on one of a pair of substrates opposed to each other with a liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween, data signal lines and scanning signal lines are provided so as to cross each other, thin film transistors are provided so as to be electrically connected to the data signal lines and the scanning signal lines, reflective pixel electrodes are provided on an interlayer insulator formed so as to cover at least a part of the data signal lines, the scanning signal lines, or the thin film transistors, and the reflective pixel electrodes are electrically connected to drain electrodes of the thin film transistors, wherein an underlying film is disposed in contact with the interlayer insulator, the underlying film uniforming heat conduction and/or light transmittance between the interlayer insulator and the one of the substrates and/or contact properties of the interlayer insulator with respect to the one of the substrates in a region where at least one of the reflective pixel electrodes is formed.

摘要： An active matrix substrate has an insulating substrate, a plurality of signal lines and a plurality of scanning lines arranged in a matrix on the insulating substrate and defining a matrix of areas, each area including a pixel electrode and a switching device. The switching device has a connecting electrode for connecting the switching device to the pixel electrode. The connecting electrode includes a rectangular main portion and an extended portion connected to the main portion, and the main portion has a side which is substantially identical in length to the width of the switching device. The main portion and the extended portion are disposed between the pixel electrode and the insulating substrate.

摘要： A method for producing a reflection-type liquid crystal display device includes the steps of forming an ITO layer in the first substrate; patterning the ITO layer to form the top layer in the at least one of the terminal sections; forming a first protective layer so as to cover the top layer; forming a metal layer mainly formed of aluminum so as to cover the first protective layer; and at least partially removing the metal layer and the first protective layer to form a reflective section from the metal layer and expose only the flat area of the top surface of the top layer in the at least one of the terminal sections. Before the step of forming the first protective layer, only the flat area of the top surface of the layer is exposed in at least one of the terminal sections so as to allow the first protective layer to contact the top layer along only the flat area.
