摘要: A method for clearing unlocking key codes in an electronic locking device in which the unlocking circuit is arranged to be actuated when the code of a magnetic card read by the card reader agrees with an unlocking key code set in the memory, the method comprising using a first clearing card which will function only when the door associated with the locking device is open and a second clearing card which will function only when the door is closed, setting the codes of the first and second clearing cards in specified separate addresses in the memory in the code setting mode for setting the codes of the clearing cards in the processing unit (CPU) of the electronic locking device, determining whether the door is open or closed in the normal operation mode of the CPU, and clearing the unlocking key codes only when the code read by the card reader is identical to the code of the first clearing card set in the above-mentioned manner and the door is open, or when the code read by the card reader is identical to the code of the second clearing card set in the above-mentioned manner and the door is closed.

摘要: A power source capable of providing a constant DC output when supplied with one of a range of AC inputs. Converter means providing a number of outputs of differing voltages each proportional to the input voltage. A number of parallel circuit lines each connected to one of those outputs. Each parallel circuit line including a rectifier, a maximum voltage regulator and a non-return current device. The outputs from those lines being connected to a common output to give the constant DC voltage supply. Each voltage regulator has a set regulating voltage which is one of a discrete range of voltage steps close to the required substantially constant DC voltage, the lowest of the steps being no greater than the voltage reached for the line connected to the highest output from the converter means when the input supply is at the low end of the range of AC voltages, the next of the steps being greater than the lowest and being reached for the line connected to the next highest output from the converter means, and, if there are more than two parallel circuit lines, the next step being greater and being reached for the line connected to the next highest output from the converter means and so on, so as to cover the range of possible input AC voltages.

摘要: A crank angle detecting device that is independent of fluctuations in engine rotational speed and reliably detects a reference crank angle position. A ring gear fixed to a crankshaft of a single cylinder engine has plural projections (teeth) formed around its outer periphery at equal intervals and one irregular interval portion (toothless portion). A crank angle sensor detects start and end on both sides of each projection, a lateral length of each projection and an interval of two adjacent projections, and calculates a ratio therebetween to distinguish the irregular interval portion from the projections. The crank angle sensor and the irregular interval portion are so positioned that the irregular interval portion is detected when the piston is close to bottom dead center.

摘要: To provide an acceleration control method for an engine, which determines the accelerating state appropriately without a sensor, a mechanism, or the like specially added for determining the accelerating state and performs suitable acceleration control, while it prevents acceleration misdetermination at engine start or at an extremely low engine speed to improve engine startability and drivability at an extremely low engine speed. An acceleration control method for a four-stroke engine, in which a pulse is generated for every predetermined crank angle for detecting a crank angle of the engine, a transient state of the engine is determined by detecting the pulse and by detecting the intake air pressure in the intake passage on a downstream side of a throttle valve of the engine, and the acceleration control is performed according to the state of the engine, is characterized in that the acceleration control is prohibited on condition that the engine state is at engine start or at an extremely low engine speed, and in that the acceleration control is allowed otherwise.

摘要: A method of unlocking a compartment such as a drawer in a desk where a telephone is provided on the desk, the telephone being of the type where a series of frequency tones are generated for dialing a number. The user places the handset of the telephone near a microphone receiver and dials a preset sequence of numbers on the telephone. The sound output from the handset is received by the microphone receiver, decoded and compared in memory with a preset code and if valid the lock is released to allow the drawer to be opened.

摘要: An electronic locking device which is particularly useful for safes in a hotel room comprises an unlocking circuit actuated when a code on a magnetic card which acts as the "key" is read by a card reader forming part of the device agrees with an unlocking code stored in the memory of the device. The unlocking code from the card is set in memory when the memory is enabled and the magnetic card is loaded into the card reader for a plurality of times within a relatively short pre-selected time interval.
