Flexible leads separately attached to the front of an electrical component are attached at their opposite ends to more rigid electrical connectors on the reverse side of the electrical component. The electrical connectors and the electrical component are preferably bonded together for improved stability. The resulting electrical component is typically surrounded with at least one protective covering.

摘要： A mechanical force gauge for measuring opposed forces upon deformation of a fixed end beam. A wedge pin member is located along a neutral axis of at least one leaf member of the fixed end beam. Tensile or compressive forces are determined by measuring the change in position of a contact point located on the wedge pin member as changes in load are applied to the leaf member. This measurement is accomplished by means of a probe attached to an indicating instrument which engages the wedge pin member at the contact point. The relative distance between the wedge pin member and the probe can be adjusted initially to vary the capacity of the gauge and the angle of inclination of the wedge pin member can be adjusted to vary sensitivity of the gauge.

The resistor includes a substrate having first and second flat surfaces and having a shape and a composition; a resistive foil having a low TCR of about 0.1 to about 1 ppm/null C. and a thickness of about 0.03 mils to about 0.7 mils cemented to one of the flat surfaces with a cement, the resistive foil having a pattern to produce a desired resistance value, the substrate having a modulus of elasticity of about 10null106 psi to about 100null106 psi and a thickness of about 0.5 mils to about 200 mils, the resistive foil, pattern, type and thickness of cement, and substrate being selected to provide a cumulative effect of reduction of resistance change due to power. The present invention also provides for a method of producing a high precision power resistor.

Supported on the flange is an assembly comprising a post, a non-conductive plate on which an arcuate resistive path is disposed, a contact plate with a contact finger that presses against the resistive element, and a gear journaled on the shaft and releasably coupled to the plate to move the finger along the arcuate resistive path. The shaft, the plate and finger, and the gear are joined together, and a spring is provided to force the plate into engagement with the gear. The cover has a lead screw mounted in it with a head available to the outside and the threaded portion in mesh with the gear. The axial direction of the screw may be either perpendicular to the base or parallel with it.
