    摘要: An adjustable motion wheel chair having a mobility base for supporting a back panel and a seat panel. A pair of control plates are mounted to the mobility base and positioned laterally across the mobility base in spaced apart parallel relation. The back panel includes a pair of pivot pins located on opposite lateral edges of the back panel which are pivotally received by a respective control plate. A linkage member hingedly connects the seat panel to the back panel. Each control plate includes a forwardly extending stop for limiting the downward movement of a front edge of the seat panel. A latch member is attached to each control plate and is operable between a first position where the back panel is fixed in angular relation with the seat panel and a second position where the back panel is rotatable with respect to the seat panel.

    摘要: The application discloses a valve and nozzle device for filling liquid into open-top cans or other receptacles one at a time, travelling on a conveyor.A commercial requirement is top speed achievable, and the conveyor moves the receptacles horizontally under a periodically discharging nozzle, which discharges a can-filling charge of liquid periodically, as rapidly as the can can be filled, and transported away to make room for the next charge. The apparatus disclosed discharges charges of liquid, under poppet valve control, through a discharge skirt formed to swirl each charge so that the charge impinges on the can, or can contents at a swirl angle, rather than straight down. By coordinating this swirl action with the downward velocity of the discharged charge, splash-out can be eliminated, and higher performance accomplished with a clean, non-splashing operation.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for maintaining and correcting a time ference in a satellite controlled digital clock system. A time code message including time-of-year information and satellite position information is transmitted in a data stream from a transmitter on earth to a satellite orbiting the earth to be relayed back to receivers located around the world. The data is transmitted at a precise data rate. According to the invention, a local clock oscillator is phase locked with the precise data rate, thereby providing the clock system with time-of-year information by counting the pulses produced by the local oscillator. At the same time, the digital clock system assembles the time code message from the received data stream and compares the message with the time accumulated by counting the pulses produced by the oscillator. After a predetermined number of errors are detected by such comparisons, the clock system resets itself to coincide with the received time code message. If transmission of the time code message is interrupted, the clock continues counting pulses produced by the local oscillator and thereby continues keeping time undisturbed. In a preferred embodiment, the digital clock system is implemented with a firmware programmed micro-computer and the time-of-year and satellite position information is displayed on light emitting diode digital displays.

    摘要: A special toilet tank equipped with a pivoting urinal, to facilitate the collection of urine from a standing male person. This will protect surrounding floors, walls and structure, from urine spray. The folding urinal is moveable from a stored position in the special tank enclosure to a position above the toilet bowl. The urine drops directly into the toilet bowl eliminating the need for a separate drain line. A water line passes through a position valve, to provide rinse water inside the urinal to flush the urine from the inside surfaces. The rinse water also drops into the bowl during flushing. When the urinal is in the stored position, the position valve prevents flow of water to the urinal during normal flushing.

    摘要: A center-of-gravity tilt-in-space wheelchair includes a base, a seat for supporting an occupant, and tracks supporting the seat for selective seat movement relative to the base. Wheels are adapted to support the base relative to a supporting surface. The tracks serve as rolling or sliding surfaces that allow the seat to rotate with respect to the base. Each track has a constant-radius arc with a focal point that is adapted to be coincident with the center of gravity of the wheelchair occupant. A low-friction supports the base relative to the seat. The low-friction support may include low friction elements that mate with the tracks to support for the tracks. The support can be adjustable to permit the overall tilt angle range of the tracks to be adjusted. The wheelchair seat can be adjusted to maintain the focal point of the constant-radius arc of the tracks coincident with the center of gravity of the wheelchair occupant. The front and rear wheels can be adjusted fore and aft relative to the focal point. A coupling includes plates having upper ends operatively attached to one another with seat canes therebetween and lower ends releasably attached relative to the side tubes. The lower ends can be movable in a longitudinal direction relative to the side tubes while remaining operatively connected to the side tubes. A base frame can include side frames having an offset at a front end and a caster housing supported by the offset. The offset is directed up to minimize the height of the side frames and down to maximize the height.

    摘要: A nozzle assembly is interconnected with the delivery passageway or conduit from a hand pump sprayer. The nozzle assembly has a first and second passageway, preferably conduits which are connected to the delivery passageway or conduit and splits the fluid preferably pan coating exiting from the delivery passageway or conduit into two streams. The cross sectional flow area of the first and second conduit is smaller than the cross sectional flow area of the delivery conduit so that the velocity of the pan coating increases upon entry into the first and second conduits located in the nozzle assembly. Each conduit has a fluid outlet to the atmosphere. The first and second conduits in combination with said fluid outlets define a discharge axis. The first fluid conduit discharge axis intersects the second fluid discharge axis at an impingement angle .beta. of from 10.degree. to 170.degree. preferably from 60.degree. to 140.degree. so that the pan coating exiting each outlet intersects at a point exterior to the nozzle. As a result the pan coating exiting the first outlet collides with the pan coating exiting from the second outlet to break the pan coating into small droplets to form a wide angle mist for application to a cooking surface. The impingement angle should be sufficiently high so that there is sufficient collision of the streams to form fine drops while at the same time preserving a sufficient forward velocity so that the pan coating can be sprayed on a cooking surface between 6 inches and 24 inches from the nozzle.
