摘要: An image reducer executes a reduction process on a comparison image to generate a reduced comparison image, and executes a reduction process on a reference image to generate a reduced reference image. A disparity value deriver (a deriving unit) derives a disparity value by setting the minimum value of synthesized costs of pixels in the reduced comparison image in connection with a reference pixel in the reduced reference image, which have been calculated by a cost synthesizer. A disparity image generator generates a reduced disparity image, which is an image obtained by replacing the luminance values of the respective pixels in the reduced reference image with the disparity values corresponding to the pixels. The disparity image enlarger executes an enlargement process for enlarging the image size of the reduced disparity image generated by the disparity image generator to generate a disparity image.

摘要: A presentation system receives streams of videos of a video conference and presents the videos on the faces of a three-dimensional object. The presentation system selects which video should be presented more prominently than the other videos. The presentation system generates an image of the three-dimensional object that represents a view location from which the selected video is prominently visible and videos of other conference participants are less prominently visible. The presentation system then displays the image to the conference participant.

摘要: Systems, methods, and/or techniques (“tools”) are described that sort speakers in a network-enabled conference. In some cases, this sorted list of speakers indicates which speaker is dominant. With this sorted list, a participant's communication device may provide context about the speakers. In some cases a participant's communication device has a display that presents real-time video of the speakers or other visual indicia, such as each or the most dominant speaker's name, picture, title, or location. These and other context about speakers may help participants better understand discussions in network-enabled conferences.

摘要: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed that improve media communications. In one embodiment, a media server receives a media communication with a first quality from a personal computer with VoIP telephone capabilities. The media server translates the media (e.g., audio, visual, etc.) communication into a second quality, and forwards the media communication to a communication gateway. The translation to improve communications can also be done when receiving the media communication from the communication gateway for forwarding to the persona computer having VoIP telephone capability. In some embodiments, a media server sits in the communication channel between a personal computer with VoIP telephone capabilities and a communication gateway and is able to translate communications into codec protocols they each understand.

摘要: The present invention relates to the preparation ad application of a high-sensitive electrochemical luminescent composite material which has anti-biofouling properties useful as a sensor material. This material is prepared by immobilization of electrochemical luminescent material into polymer containing phospholipid groups, wherein, the electrochemical luminescent material including ruthenium complex, osmium complex, etc.; the phospholipid containing polymer is the copolymer of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC) and other polymerisable monomers. Animal experiment results revealed that this composite material has good anti-biofouling properties; it can be used in producing various sensors for bio-related detections.

摘要: The present invention provides a line of optical interleavers in which a novel beam-swapping element is utilized. The beam-swapping element of the present invention provides an effective and inexpensive alternative to polarization rotators and birefrigent elements employed in the prior art optical interleavers, hence rendering a simple and low-cost assembly to the optical interleavers of the present invention. The optical interleavers of the present invention further advantageously exploit a combination of two wavelength filters to cancel out wavelength-filter-induced-dispersion. Efforts are also painstakingly made in the optical interleavers of the present invention to substantially minimize other dispersion effects. As such, the optical interleavers of the present invention constitute the first kind in the art in which various dispersion effects are substantially minimized. Such characteristics would be highly desirable in fiber-optic networks. The optical interleavers of the present invention can be advantageously configured as multiplexers, de-multiplexers, or routers.
