A charging device for providing power from a power supply to an electronic device is provided. The charging device includes a detachable first electrical connector connected to a wired or wireless power output port, and a detachable second electrical connector attached to the power supply. The power output port is configured to provide power to the electronic device when the first electrical connector is connected to the power supply.

Abstract:
A frame for mounting a lift apparatus for a video display in an article of furniture. The frame includes an elongate upper member, an elongate lower member, an elongate connecting member, and lift mounting elements. The elongate upper member has opposite ends and a substantial mid-region. The elongate lower member extends substantially parallel to the upper elongate member and has opposite ends and a substantial mid-region. The elongate connecting member has opposite end portions affixed to the upper and lower elongate members at regions offset from the substantial mid-regions thereof. The lift mounting elements are provided on the upper and lower elongate members at the substantial mid-regions thereof for mounting a lift apparatus to the upper and lower elongate members at the substantial mid-regions thereof. The upper and lower elongate members are spaced from each other a distance sufficient to enable a lift apparatus to be passed from one side of the frame to the other and the connecting member is spaced from the substantial mid-region of the upper and lower members a distance sufficient to enable a lift apparatus to be mounted to the upper and lower elongate members at their substantial mid-regions. Other embodiments of the invention include a subassembly forming a component to be incorporated into an article of furniture containing lift apparatus for a video display and a kit for mounting a lift apparatus for a video display in an article of furniture.
Abstract:
The present invention is a sub-cabinet readily insertable and removable from a larger decorative cabinet. The invention is comprised of a box-like structure having at least three panels perpendicularly disposed with respect to a floor panel and attached thereto, a lift vertically disposed within the box-like structure and fastened thereto, and a control module disposed within the box-like structure and fastened thereto. The control module receives commands from a limit switch so as to stop the lift motion when filly retracted or extended. Furthermore, the control module regulates electrical power to a display device fastened to the lift based upon the direction of travel of the support unit. The control module receives function commands from either a wireless remote or a switch. An alternate embodiment of the present invention further comprises a safety strip attached about an edge along one or more panels adjacent to a movable lid hinged to a decorative cabinet. The safety strip communicates with the control module so as to reverse the direction of the lift when contacted. Another embodiment of the present invention further comprises one or more storage areas within the box-like structure.
Abstract:
A motorized lift device facilitating the uninterrupted and nearly noiseless movement of a low-profile television. The motorized lift comprises a base unit having a support unit slidably disposed thereon in a vertically-oriented and telescoping fashion. Support unit movement is controlled via a motor directly coupled to a transmission which is coupled to a screw. Coupling between screw and an elevator plate converts screw rotation to linear motion within the support unit. A low-friction floating nut between elevator plate and screw, as well as several low-friction couplings between base unit and support unit reduce noise, wobbling, eliminate binding, and accommodates for misalignments during movement. The support unit accommodates for vertical and horizontal adjustability during mounting and installation of any size low-profile television.

Lighting systems and lighting assemblies are disclosed, including a lamp with several light sources positioned to produce a smoother more blended lighting effect. Three or more light sources may be included, and each source can be positioned in its own light well. The light wells can be conical in form but may have a side of a cone missing to connect it to adjacent light wells, including to both adjacent light wells. A proximity sensor may be included to turn on or off the lamp or to dim the lamp when a user's presence is detected.

A mounting apparatus for affixing a flat screen display device to a vertical lift mechanism having vertical guide members situated at the lateral sides of a lift including at least one pair of mounting members, at least one pair of hanging members, at least one elongate support member, and at least one pair of bracket members. Each mounting member of the pair is affixed to a respective one of the pair of vertical tubular members at an adjustable position thereon in substantially horizontal alignment with the other mounting member of the pair. Each hanging member of the pair is affixed to a respective one of the mounting members. The at least one elongate support member is adapted for connection to mounting components at the rear of the flat screen display device and structured and arranged to extend substantially horizontally when the display device is mounted to the tubular members of the lift mechanism. The at least one pair of bracket members are affixed in spaced relationship to the at least one support member and each bracket member of a pair is structured and arranged to receive a respective one of the pair of hanging members.
