摘要:
Methods, systems, and products for testing a grammar used in speech recognition for reliability in a plurality of operating environments having different background noise that include: receiving recorded background noise for each of the plurality of operating environments; generating a test speech utterance for recognition by a speech recognition engine using a grammar; mixing the test speech utterance with each recorded background noise, resulting in a plurality of mixed test speech utterances, each mixed test speech utterance having different background noise; performing, for each of the mixed test speech utterances, speech recognition using the grammar and the mixed test speech utterance, resulting in speech recognition results for each of the mixed test speech utterances; and evaluating, for each recorded background noise, speech recognition reliability of the grammar in dependence upon the speech recognition results for the mixed test speech utterance having that recorded background noise.

Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for RSS content administration for rendering RSS content on a digital audio player. Embodiments include retrieving, through an RSS feed, RSS content; extracting text from the RSS content; creating a media file; and storing the extracted text of the RSS content as metadata associated with the media file. Embodiments also typically include extracting one or more images from the RSS content; and storing the extracted images as metadata associated with the media file. Embodiments also typically include extracting text from the RSS content for audio rendering on the digital audio player; converting the text to speech; and recording the speech in the audio portion of the media file. Many embodiments also include storing the media file on a digital audio player; displaying the metadata describing the media file; and playing the audio portion containing the speech.

Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for asynchronous communications. Embodiments include receiving a recorded message, the message recorded on a handheld device; converting the recorded message to text; identifying a recipient of the message in dependence upon the text; associating the message with content under management by a library management system in dependence upon the text; and storing the message for transmission to another handheld device for the recipient. Embodiments also typically include recording a message on handheld device and transferring a media file containing the recorded message to a library management system. Embodiments also typically include transmitting message to another handheld device.

Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for associating user selected content management directives with a user selected rating. Embodiments include presenting to a user a plurality of predefined content management directives; receiving from a user an identification of a particular content management directive; receiving from a user an identification of the rating to invoke the content management directive; and storing the identification of the content management directive in association with the rating to invoke the content management directives.

Some embodiments include a method for configuring a client device. The method includes associating a hook in a configuration bundle with customized programming. The method includes downloading the configuration bundle for a client device to a services gateway, including downloading a generic configuration bundle to the services gateway. The method also includes executing the configuration bundle on the services gateway, including calling the hook and executing the generic configuration bundle. The executing of the generic configuration bundle further includes reading, from the client device, a configuration prompt stored on the client device, providing the configuration prompt to a user, receiving configuration parameters from the user, and writing the configuration parameters to the client device.

A prompt generation engine operates to dynamically extend prompts of a multimodal application. The prompt generation engine receives a media file having a metadata container. The prompt generation engine operates on a multimodal device that supports a voice mode and a non-voice mode for interacting with the multimodal device. The prompt generation engine retrieves from the metadata container a speech prompt related to content stored in the media file for inclusion in the multimodal application. The prompt generation engine modifies the multimodal application to include the speech prompt.

Methods, systems, and products are disclosed informing a user of a content management directive associated with a rating. Embodiments include identifying a content management directive capable of being invoked through a user assigned rating; identifying a rating associated with invoking the identified content management directive; and providing an identification of the rating and an identification of the content management directive associated with the rating to a user through a media file.

Differential dynamic content delivery including providing a session document for a presentation, wherein the session document includes a session grammar and a session structured document; selecting from the session structured document a classified structural element in dependence upon user classifications of a user participant in the presentation; presenting the selected structural element to the user; streaming presentation speech to the user including individual speech from at least one user participating in the presentation; converting the presentation speech to text; detecting whether the presentation speech contains simultaneous individual speech from two or more users; and displaying the text if the presentation speech contains simultaneous individual speech from two or more users.

Some example embodiments include a method of dynamically publishing directory information for a plurality of interactive voice response (‘IVR’) systems. The method includes receiving, by the IVR directory service on behalf of one of the IVR systems, a web services update request. The method includes determining, by the IVR directory service in response to the web services update request, updated directory information for the IVR system. The method includes updating the IVR system directory with the updated directory information for the IVR system. The method includes generating an updated voice mode user interface to reflect the updated IVR system directory with the updated directory information for the IVR system. The generating includes creating one more voice dialogs in accordance with the directory information, the one or more voice dialogs specifying a call flow defining the interaction between a caller and the IVR directory service.
