    摘要: It is an object to enable a printer to print at a high speed from drawing data including each drawing object of an image, a text, and graphics in the same page and to form print information in which a deterioration of a picture quality is small. An object-unit resolution discriminator discriminates attributes of drawing objects in print data which is formed by a host, discriminates a kind of resolution processing of each drawing object, selects either one of a high resolution rasterizer and a normal resolution rasterizer every drawing object on the basis of the discrimination result, and switches a resolution processing. A page detection/resolution controller switches a resolution mode for the printer driver to draw every page on the basis of the attribute detected by a page parameter discriminator for analyzing the print data and detecting the attributes of the drawing objects of each page.

    摘要: The detection system comprises a sensor and a controller which are connected by two wires. The sensor can take more than two states as opposed to conventional detection systems. According to this arrangement, for instance, a small leakage current exists even when the sensor is in normal off state, and, therefore, electric current in the range of I1 to I2 flows even in normal off state. On the other hand, electric current of I3 to I4 flows in normal on state. When there is a wire breakage, no electric current flows. Conversely, when there is a shortcircuiting, electric current exceeding I4 flows. Electric current in the range of I3 to I4 corresponds to an unstable state which is neither normal on state nor normal off state. Thus, by distinguishing the level of the electric current flowing through the wires, by using suitable electric current level detecting circuit, which of the level classes it belongs to, a state signal corresponding to the result of this distinguishing process can be outputted for self-diagnosing purpose.

    摘要: A printing apparatus for printing on a print medium in accordance with information transmitted from a printer driver is provided with first and second automatic sheet feeders capable of feeding respective ones of print media of types that differ from each other, a memory for storing information relating to a type of print medium that has been detected, a media sensor for detecting the type of print medium that has been supplied by the first automatic sheet feeder, and a changeover switch for changing over to whichever of the first and second automatic sheet feeders is to be used in printing. If the fact that the changeover switch has been operated is detected, the information relating to the type of print medium is invalidated and information relating to the type of print medium is transmitted in response to a request from the printer driver.

The host apparatus develops an image to generate recording data corresponding to the plurality of recording heads and transmits the recording data to the printer. During the development of the image, the host computer obtains leftmost and rightmost end values for the recording data and transmits them to the printer. The printer determines a scan range of the plurality of recording heads based on the leftmost and rightmost end values, and performs printing the transmitted recording data.

    摘要: An attachment for an electronic switch having an outlet tube in one embodiment includes a first clamp member including a pair of legs having respective hooks on ends thereof, and a second clamp member having a pair of locking pawls for locking engagement with the hooks, respectively. In a second embodiment the clamp members are identical with a leg and hook and a pawl on each member. The second clamp member having a pair of cavities in which the legs can be fitted, respectively, the first and second clamp members being connectable together to hold the outlet tube of the electronic switch therebetween. The first and second clamp members as connected together are slidable between a first position in which one of the first and second clamp members is displaced away from the other while being retained together by the hooks and the locking pawls and the outlet tube is rotatable between the first and second clamp members, and a second position in which the one of the first and second clamp members is pushed against the other and the outlet tube is fixed in position between the first and second clamp members.
