    摘要： Disclosed is a system and a method for communication using different IPs, i.e. a mobile IP supporting mobility and a simple IP, according to the service by a UE. The method includes network initiated IP allocation (i.e. the network allocates different IPs to the UE) and UE initiated IP allocation (i.e. the UE directly requests an IP corresponding to a specific service). As such, the IP is selected and used based on consideration of continuity of the service to be supported by the UE.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a wireless network, and more particularly, a method (*“and system”?*) which a mobile station discovers a neighbor network in an Internet protocol based wireless network, a network management server for enabling the method, and a method of operating the network management server. A network management server of a wireless network system, the server including: a neighborhood (NH) database maintaining configuration information with respect to at least one neighbor network; a communication interface receiving a request message for capability/configuration information of the neighbor network from a mobile station which is connected via a predetermined access point or a base station; and a database management unit extracting the capability/configuration information of the neighbor network which is included in the request message by referring to the neighborhood database, and controlling a reply message including the capability/configuration information to be transmitted to the mobile station via the communication interface.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for authenticating a mobile terminal are provided. A list of potential Network Access Servers (NASs) corresponding to a NAS are maintained in a backend authentication server, authorization information corresponding to each of the potential NASs is transmitted, from the backend authentication server to each of the potential NASs, when the mobile terminal is authenticated via the NAS. The mobile terminal detects whether a new NAS is pre-authenticated, when the mobile terminal moves to a domain of the new NAS, the new NAS detects whether the mobile terminal is pre-authenticated, and the new NAS authenticates the mobile terminal via a Pre-Shared Key (PSK) method, when the mobile terminal and the new NAS are pre-authenticated.

A MSK refreshing method MSK includes when receiving a first Media Access Control (MAC) message including MSK refresh indication information from a Base Station (BS), generating, at a Mobile Station (MS), an Extended Master Session Key (EMSK)_Hash by applying a hash function to an EMSK and sending a second MAC message including the EMSK_Hash, sending, at the BS, a context request message including the EMSK_Hash to an Access Service Network GateWay (ASN-GW), sending, at the ASN-GW, an authentication request message including the EMSK_Hash to an authentication server, when receiving the authentication request message including the EMSK_Hash, confirming, at the authentication server, the same EMSK as the MS based on the EMSK_Hash, determining an MSK1 using the EMSK, and sending an authentication accept message including the MSK1 to the ASN-GW, and sending, at the ASN-GW, a context report message including an Authorization Key (AK) context to the BS.
