摘要： A disc-shaped filter unit including a filter main body having a water absorbability and a holder having a non water absorbability is disposed in a vertical orientation, with a part of a circumferential portion thereof immersed in water reserved in a water tank, and is rotated by a rotation drive mechanism in a circumferential direction. The filter unit has an absorptive region and a non-absorptive region arranged adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction. Therefore, in accordance with rotation of the filter unit in the circumferential direction, a state where the absorptive region is immersed and the filter main body of the filter unit absorbs water through a water-conduction hole and a state where the non-absorptive region is immersed and water absorption of the filter main body is prevented by a watertight section having a non water absorbability are continuously alternated.

摘要： An air cleaner that is capable of efficiently and effectively purifying and humidifying air. An air flow passage from air filters (4, 5) to a blower (8) is branched to first and second air flow passages (31, 32), and then these air flow passages join. A humidifying filter (14) is disposed in the first air flow passage (31), and a movable plate (35) for opening and closing the humidifying filter is disposed in the second air flow passage (32). The air cleaner comprises a control part (40) for controlling the opening and closing operation of the movable plate (35) and the rotating operation of the blower (8). A recess containing the air filters (4, 5) is formed in the front of the body (2) of the air cleaner. An air flow passage extending from under the recess to the back of the recess and bent upward is horizontally partitioned into upper and lower parts by a partition wall (27) to form the first air flow passage (31) and the second flow passage (32) in this order from the bottom. The movable plate (35) is a flat plate rotated around a pivotal axis (36) formed along one lateral side.

摘要： An air purifier is provided which can effectively purify the air for a long period of time without increasing the capacity of an internal power supply and an external power supply. A control section determines, by means of a power supply detection circuit, whether or not the external power supplies power. The control section causes an ion generator drive circuit and a fan motor drive circuit to perform operations in accordance with the determination. For example, the control section causes the ion generator drive circuit and the fan motor drive circuit to perform continuous operation in a case where the external power supply supplies power, and causes them to perform intermittent operation in a case where the external power supply does not supply power.
