摘要: A yarn feeding device for a knitting machine comprises a motor for driving a roller from which a yarn is fed out, and a rotatable arm which intermediately stores the yarn fed out from the roller, and the yarn is fed from the arm to a knitting machine body. A torque generator is provided to apply a variable torque to the arm. A yarn speed is obtained from a loop length of a stitch for each knitting needle and a knitting speed calculated on the basis of knitting data used in the knitting machine body. The yarn speed is converted into a torque to be applied to a buffer using a conversion table at each knitting section in a knitting course so as to correct a yarn tension fluctuation caused by the yarn speed, and the torque generator is controlled in accordance with the torque thus obtained. The yarn tension fluctuation is reduced so that high-speed knitting and knitting using a weak yarn can be facilitated.

摘要: An optical multiplexer/demultiplexer having a high isolation characteristic, a small polarization dependency and capable of being reduced in size is disclosed. An end portion of a core and an end portion of a core are arranged in opposed relation to each other with a thin-film filter interposed therebetween. The end portion of the core far from the filter and the end portion of the core far from the filter are arranged in substantially parallel to each other. The core is arranged in such a manner as to branch from the filter-side end portion of the core and to be optically coupled with the core. The end portion of the core near to the filter and the end portion of the core near to the filter are curved. The end portion of the core near to the filter is curved in a manner protruded toward the core. The end portion of each of the core and the core far from the filter reaches an end of an optical waveguide, and the end portion of the core far from the filter reaches a side of the optical waveguide.

摘要: In an optical waveguide device, a rectangle, which uses a filter insertion groove as its diagonal line and uses points on filter insertion grooves adjacent to the above filter insertion groove as its apexes, is assumed as a unit rectangle, and the size of the optical waveguide device is set to an integer multiple of the unit rectangle. In this case, even if filter insertion grooves are formed in a state in which a plurality of the optical waveguide devices are disposed in matrix, the respective optical waveguide devices can be formed in the same shape. Further, the filter insertion grooves formed to the respective optical waveguide devices do not divide portions other than the target portion of other optical waveguide devices. Therefore, the manufacturing processes of the optical waveguide device can be simplified and are suitable for mass production, and manufacturing cost can be suppressed thereby.

摘要: An object of at least one embodiment of the present invention is to stably feed a yarn by suppressing the effect of inertia in a buffer mechanism provided in a yarn feeding path. In at least one embodiment, a yarn feeder of the weft knitting machine feeds a knitting yarn from either of ends of a needle bed through a yarn feeding member to a knitting needle which carries out knitting motion based on knitting data while reciprocating the yarn feeding member in a longitudinal direction of the needle bed. A buffer rod is provided in the feeding path for the knitting yarn. Before the yarn feeding member starts to feed the knitting yarn to the knitting needle. a yarn feed controller carries out control to feed out the yarn to the buffer rod beforehand in a moving direction in which the feeding path is extended and to pull back the yarn stored in the buffer rod in a moving direction in which the feeding path is reduced. Thus, since an overshoot and an undershoot by the effect of inertia is caused by the buffer rod provided in the feeding path for the knitting yarn can be suppressed, the knitting yarn can be stably fed.

摘要: An object of the invention is to control the yarn length as appropriate in a tubular knitted fabric including a drop loop, regardless of the presence of crossover. For front and back needle beds, ones of those indicated by capitals ABC . . . among odd-numbered or even-numbered ones are allocated to a front portion thereof and the other portions indicated by lower cases abc . . . are allocated to a back portion thereof. At knitting needles ABC . . . which actually form stitch loops perform knitting operation, and knitting needles abc . . . between the knitting needles ABC perform hooking operation. A hung stitch is shook off, and the knitting yarn used for the hanging is absorbed in stitch loops at the knitting needles ABC . . . at both ends as shown in dotted lines. As shown in (b) by solid lines, the loop lengths of back stitches are shortened and the lengths of the knitting yarn at crossing portions are absorbed by the stitch loops of the back stitches. Thus, the drop loops matching the set yarn lengths can be knitted without differentiating the lengths of yarn between the face stitches and back stitches.
