    摘要: A resistance welding quality determination method comprises: a step of detecting a voltage value applied to a welding electrode of a resistance welding machine; a step of detecting a current value supplied to the welding electrode; a step of calculating a welding resistance value based on the voltage value and the current value; a step of correcting the welding resistance value based on a change amount of a contact resistance value between the work and the welding electrode during welding of a work; and a step of determining welding quality of the work based on a corrected welding resistance value obtained by correcting the welding resistance value.

    摘要: Positive and negative electrode plates, after being dried, are layered alternately upon one another with intervening separators therebetween to constitute electrode plate groups. These electrode plate groups are transferred in succession from one to another of a plurality of preliminary chambers, which are respectively constructed to be able to create vacuum of various levels and arranged so that the vacuum level is gradually increased, and finally introduced into a processing chamber in which the vacuum level is highest, where the welding of collector plates to the electrode plate groups is performed with an electronic beam irradiating device. After that, the electrode plate groups are taken out through a post-processing chamber.

    摘要: A method is provided for manufacturing a battery having a case where the sites to which high stresses are applied are strongly welded. The case has a closed bottom and an opened top. The cross section of a peripheral wall of the case defining the opened top is substantially polygon, and a thickness of the peripheral wall is thick at middle portion and thin at distal end portions of a side that is longest among sides defining the polygon. The method includes steps of contacting a seal plate against a top surface of the peripheral wall of the case to close the opened top of the case, and scanning and radiating an energy beam along the contacting line between the peripheral wall of the case and the seal plate continuously. The energy beam having large energy is radiated at a position where the peripheral wall is thick and the energy beam having small energy is radiated at positions where the peripheral wall is thin.

    摘要: A battery having an electrode unit in which edges of electrode plates are mechanically and electrically connected to a fixing and conducting plate is obtained. A projection is formed at an edge of each electrode plate, and projections are inserted into a grove formed on the fixing and conducting plate. Energy beam is radiated to the fixing and conducting plate along a wall defining the groove, and metal forming the groove is melted and fills a gap between the projection and the groove. The filling metal is solidified at a condition that the melted metal surrounds the projection. The electrode plate is firmly connected to the fixing and conducting plate by a combination of the projection and the surrounding metal. The electrode plates are stably maintained at a positional relationship that the electrode plates extend parallel with each other leaving a gap between adjacent electrode plates, and the electrode plates are connected to the fixing and conducting plate with a reliable electric conductivity.
