Abstract: A universal trip dog in the sense that it may be mounted to either the right or left side of a carrier track and still position a lever contact face for engaging a trip lever during relative movement between the carrier and the trip lever. The dog is preferably in the configuration of a truncated pyramid in which the angular sides correspond to two trip contact faces, one of the sides having locking keys which flank a mounting passageway through the body of the trip dog. The locking keys have top and bottom rectilinear sides so that such keys can be inserted into a track or groove which is either on the right or left side of a carrier. The same side of the trip dog is abutted against the carrier, but said trip dog is simply rotated 180* so that one contact face is always correctly oriented for actuating a trip lever during relative movement.

Abstract: A tow-bar for trailing a toboggan with pulling and braking characteristics behind a towing vehicle having parallel crossmembers which engage the toboggan in confined condition at the back and front surfaces of the front curved portion of the toboggan and side members which engage the side edges of the front curved portion of the toboggan. The arrangement prevents sidewise pivotal movement while allowing up and down pivotal movement therebetween. A tongue extends from the cross and/or side members for mounting a hitch thereon for connection to a towing vehicle. While the tow-bar allows up and down hinging movement it constitutes an axial extension of the toboggan devoid of conventional mechanical attaching means and devoid of lateral pivotal movement at the toboggan which substantially reduces fish-tailing and eliminates jack-knifing between the tow-bar and the toboggan and reduces jack-knifing between the toboggan and the towing vehicle.

Abstract: A gas supply mechanism for removable attachment to motor driven erasing machines capable of holding and imparting movement to an eraser, which may, for example, be brought to bear upon a surface, such as a paper surface, for erasure of undesirable markings therefrom. Abstract: A common control telephone switching system featuring line hunting is disclosed. Using the dialed number, a marker circuit interrogates a number group translator to ascertain the line equipment location of the called line. The line location received from the number group is registered in the marker for use in selecting the called line. The marker also receives an indication as to how many lines are in the hunting group and how the marker can generate the line locations for the other lines in the group. In the specific embodiment, if the called line is unavailable, the output of the line location register is altered to permit the selection of another line in the hunting group without resorting to additional number group translations.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a fencing device in which a transport moves along the line of fencing and feeds the wires which are to form the line of fencing under tension once fencing is commenced. The posts are positioned by driving means along the line of strip wire and the wires are tied to the posts while the tension is maintained. The tension is maintained by braking means either on a drum which carries the wire or on separate means over which the wire passes and the tension means are so arranged that the force on this tension drum or means is measured by springs so arranged that the brakes are applied until the required tension is reached whereupon the brakes are progressively released to maintain the tension, control being such that the tension is maintained whether the vehicle moves forwardly during the playing out of the wire or is stationary during the driving of the posts.
