Abstract:
An electronic device having a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays a representation of a media item that corresponds to a sequence of images including a representative image. In response to detecting a first input, the device displays an editing user interface that concurrently displays: a first area sequentially displaying images in the sequence of images at a first magnification; and a distinct second area including representations of the images at a second magnification less than the first magnification, and a user-adjustable representative-image-selection affordance for selecting a new representative image. The device detects a second input moving the user-adjustable representative-image-selection affordance in the second area. The device displays in the first area an image corresponding to the user-adjustable representative-image-selection affordance current position in the second area.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to retrieving and displaying contextually-relevant media content. In some embodiments, a device receives a request to display contextually-relevant media and, in response, displays a representation of a collection of media items relevant to a context of the device. In some embodiments, a device displays a visual media item of a sequence of items and, in response to receiving a swipe gesture, displays a detail user interface comprising related content for the media item. In some embodiments, a device, while displaying a first detail user interface, displays an affordance corresponding to a plurality of individuals identified as having attended a first event, that when selected, causes display of visual media corresponding to a plurality of events attended by the individuals. In some embodiments, a device, in response to user input, obtains an automatically-generated collection of visual media and displays a corresponding affordance.

Abstract:
An electronic device having a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays a mediate item representation corresponding to a sequence of images in a first display mode of user-selectable display modes, where the media item is part of a collection of ordered media items such that prior media item(s) precede the first media item and subsequent media item(s) follow the first media item in the order. In response to detecting touch input including movement in a direction, the device: upon determining that a subsequent media item corresponding to a second sequence of images is designated as being displayed in the first display mode, displays the subsequent media item in the first display mode, and upon determining that the subsequent media item is designated as being displayed in a second display mode different from the first display mode, displays the subsequent media item in the second display mode.

Abstract:
An electronic device with a display, a touch-sensitive surface, one or more processors, and memory detects a first portion of a gesture, and determines that the first portion has a first gesture characteristic. The device selects a dynamic disambiguation threshold in accordance with the first gesture characteristic. The dynamic disambiguation threshold is used to determine whether to perform a first type of operation or a second type of operation when a first kind of gesture is detected. The device determines that the gesture is of the first kind of gesture. After selecting the dynamic disambiguation threshold, the device determines whether the gesture meets the dynamic disambiguation threshold. When the gesture meets the dynamic disambiguation threshold, the device performs the first type of operation, and when the gesture does not meet the dynamic disambiguation threshold, the device performs the second type of operation.
Abstract:
An image editing user interface, displayed by a computer system, for editing a sequence of images (e.g., an enhanced digital image), includes an affordance for turning on, or off, animated playback of the sequence of images, while retaining the sequence of images. While animated playback is turned off, a representative image from the sequence of images is displayed.
Abstract:
An electronic device, while in a first media acquisition mode, captures media and performs scene recognition. If the scene recognition meets first criteria, the media is displayed as a sequence of images acquired by the camera in temporal proximity to a single activation of a shutter button of the device at the first time. The sequence of images includes a plurality of images acquired by the camera prior to detecting activation of the shutter button at the first time, a representative image that represents the sequence of images and was acquired by the camera after one or more other images in the sequence of images, and a plurality of images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image. If the scene recognition does not meet the first criteria, the media is displayed as a single image in temporal proximity to the activation of the shutter button.
Abstract:
An electronic device displays an image in a sequence of images. The sequence of images includes a representative image and images acquired by the camera before and after acquiring the representative image. While displaying the image, the device detects a first input and, in response, displays a user interface for trimming the sequence of images. The user interface includes: representations of images in the sequence of images; a begin-trim icon that delimits a beginning image in the subset of the sequence of images; and an end-trim icon that delimits an ending image in the subset of the sequence of images. The begin-trim and end-trim icons are located at positions that are automatically selected by the device. The device detects a second input and, in response, trims the sequence of images to the subset of the sequence of images based on the positions of the begin-trim and the end-trim icons.
Abstract:
Some embodiments provide tools that allow a user to share content on one device with multiple other users using different devices. The content sharing tools allow the user to (1) create a shared stream that represents a set of shared content and (2) invite one or more recipients to subscribe to the shared stream. When a recipient subscribes to the shared stream, the set of content is streamed across one or more of his or her devices. In some embodiments, the content sharing tools are provided as part of an image organizing and editing application.
