Abstract: Some demonstrative embodiments include devices, systems and/or methods of communication over common control channels. For example, an apparatus may include logic and circuitry configured to cause a User Equipment (UE) to determine a selected Common Control Channel (CCCH) message configuration from a first predefined message configuration and a second predefined message configuration, the first predefined message configuration having a first predefined message bit-size, the second predefined message configuration having a second predefined message bit-size; to generate an Uplink (UL) CCCH message according to the selected CCCH message configuration, the UL CCCH message comprising a Medium Access Control (MAC) header comprising a Logical Channel Identify (ID) (LCID) field having a value corresponding to the selected CCCH message configuration; and to transmit the UL CCCH message to a Next Generation Node B (gNB) over a logical channel corresponding to the selected CCCH message configuration.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for use in a wireless network for redirecting a user equipment (UE) to an evolved universal terrestrial radio access (UTRA) absolute radio frequency number (EARFCN) of an evolved universal mobile telecommunications service terrestrial radio access network (EUTRAN) band with a band number greater than sixty four. For example, some embodiments are directed to an electronic device including radio front end circuitry and processor circuitry coupled to the radio front end circuitry. The processor circuitry is configured to generate a channel release message and transmit, using the radio front end circuitry, the channel release message to the UE. The channel release message is configured to redirect the UE to the EARFCN of the EUTRAN band with the band number greater than sixty four.

Abstract: A UE in idle mode may use a preconfigured uplink resource for transmission, retransmission, and/or HARQ. For example, the UE may store configuration data for a preconfigured uplink resource and an RNTI for idle mode communication. In idle mode, the UE generates an uplink transmission using the preconfigured uplink resource. After the uplink transmission, the UE starts a retransmission timer, and monitors PDCCH with the RNTI provided in the configuration data for HARQ ACK/NACK.

After the uplink transmission, the UE starts a retransmission timer, and monitors physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with the RNTI provided in the configuration data for HARQ acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK).

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for increasing paging opportunities when the unlicensed band is used. A user equipment (UE) may determine a plurality of different paging occasions (POs) to monitor per DRX cycle. The plurality of different POs corresponds to beam sweep repeats for a first set of UEs in an unlicensed band from a base station in a wireless network. The UE monitors the plurality of different POs to receive the paging message from the base station. The plurality of different POs may include respective physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring occasions. The plurality of different POs may include at least two consecutive POs associate with the first set of UEs within a same paging frame. Alternatively, the plurality of different POs may include at least two non-consecutive POs associated with the first set of UEs separated by at least cycle one other PO associated with a second set of UEs.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses can provide or obtain scheduling information for a system information block type1-bandwidth reduced (SIB1-BR) without obtaining a master information block during handover. A user equipment (UE) can identify SIB1-BR scheduling information in a radio resource control connection (RRC) reconfiguration message. The UE can determine scheduling of an SIB1-BR for a target cell based on the RRC reconfiguration message, and process the SIB1-BR received from the target cell during the determined scheduling.
