    摘要: The invention relates to an air diverter for a vehicle cooling system. There is a need for an improved vehicle cooling system. An air diverter is provided for a vehicle cooling system having a radiator, a fan for moving air through the radiator and a cooling unit positioned in front of the radiator with respect to air moving through the radiator. The fan is surrounded by a fan shroud. The air diverter includes a collector and a conduit. The collector is positioned between the cooling unit and the radiator. The collector receives a portion of air which passes through the cooling unit. The conduit extends around an edge of the radiator and communicates air from the collector to the interior of the fan shroud while bypassing the radiator.

    摘要: A two piece molded roof structure is provided for enclosing the cab of a work vehicle. The roof structure has an upper roof member mounted to a lower roof member. The lower roof member has a plurality of contours and apertures for receiving the components of an HVAC system, and for defining air passages. When the upper and lower roof members are joined discrete air passages are formed between the roof members. The roof structure includes fresh and recirculated air intakes communicating via an uncirculated air duct and with an HVAC core chamber housing an HVAC core. Filters are mounted in the air intakes. One or more blowers communicate between the core chamber and a conditioned air duct which has vents communicating with the cab interior. Air is thus drawn in through the intakes and directed through the unconditioned air duct to the HVAC core and then the blower expels the air into the conditioned air duct and into the vehicle cab.

    摘要: An agricultural tractor or other work vehicle having an operator's station is described. A steering column assembly is mounted in the operator's station and has a steering shaft disposed in a steering shaft barrel. The steering column assembly is adapted to both tilt and telescope. A left hand forward-neutral-reverse lever is mounted in a housing. A key is mounted on the steering shaft barrel and a first housing half is journaled on the steering shaft by way of a bushing. The first housing half has a plurality of lever support bolsters and a plurality of fastener bosses. A second housing half is disposed on the steering shaft barrel and has a plurality of lever support bolsters, a keyway and a plurality of fastener bosses. One of the first or second housing halves has a groove around a peripheral edge thereof, the other of the first or second housing halves has a tongue around a peripheral edge thereof. Similarly, one of the first or second housing halves has a circular lip at an end of each fastener boss. The keyway of the second housing half engages the key mounted on the steering barrel so that the housing cannot rotate with respect thereto and the tongue of one housing half matingly engages the groove of the other housing half, while the circular lips of the fastener bosses of one housing half engage the fastener bosses of the other housing half. The left hand forward-neutral-reverse lever is sandwiched between the upper and lower housings and is supported therein by the lever support bolsters of both housing halves so that loads are transmitted from the left hand forward-neutral-reverse lever to the housing assembly and in turn to the steering column assembly. The control housing assembly is able to move with the steering shaft and steering wheel as the steering shaft and steering wheel are telescoped and tilted, but cannot rotate.

    摘要: A joint structure for a liquid or semi-liquid sealant is provided to facilitate the sealing engagement of plural structural members without having sealant protruding from the joint in a visible area. The joint structure comprises a first structural member having a channel with a first wall, a second wall generally opposite the first wall and a third wall connecting the first and second walls. The third wall is disposed at an acute angle to the first wall and at an obtuse angle to the second wall. A second structural member has a tongue portion for matably engaging the channel of the first structural member. The tongue portion has a first wall, a second wall generally opposite the first wall, and a third wall connecting the first and second walls. The third wall is disposed at an obtuse angle to the first wall and at an acute angle to the second wall. The angle of the third wall of the channel is opposite that of the third wall of the tongue portion, such that a cross-sectional area between the tongue portion and the channel is larger on one side than on the other when the tongue portion is matably received in the channel. Accordingly, a bead of sealing material can be applied between the channel and the tongue portion and excess sealing material is directed toward the larger side of the cross-sectional area.
