    Abstract: An electrical plug connector and an electrical receptacle connector adapted to be mated with the electrical plug connector are provided. The electrical receptacle connector includes an insulated housing integrally formed as a whole and a plurality of receptacle terminals. Based on a supporting arm of a first side arm of the receptacle terminal, when the plug terminal is abutted against the first side arm, the supporting arm is abutted against an abutting surface of the electrical receptacle connector for supporting the first side arm and improving the structural strength of the first side arm. Therefore, the first side arm can be prevented from being deformed or broken. In addition, based on a supporting segment of a second side arm of the receptacle terminal, the flexibility of second side arm can be improved and the structural strength of the second side arm can be enhanced.

    Abstract: A board connector assembly has a receptacle connector and a plug connector. The receptacle connector has a first insulative housing, two sets of first terminals and two first metal reinforcing members mounted respectively on two opposite ends of the first insulative housing. The plug connector is detachably engaged with the receptacle connector and has a second insulative housing, two sets of second terminals and two second metal reinforcing members mounted respectively on two opposite ends of the second insulative housing. The first and second metal reinforcing members enhance structural strength and durability of the receptacle connector and plug connector.

    Abstract: An electrical plug connector includes a plug insulated housing which is integrally formed and plug terminals. A transition segment connected between first and second contact portions of each plug terminal allows the first contact portion to be in contact with and arranged substantially parallel to the second contact portion, so that connectors with reduced width can be manufactured. In addition, the shaping space between a first recessed portion and a second recessed portion of each plug terminal receive materials for forming the plug insulated housing, thus improving the structural strength of the connector. Moreover, embedded ends allow the plug terminals to be secured with the plug bottom wall, so that the plug terminals would not detach from the plug insulated housing easily during manufacturing or operation. The structural strength of the electrical plug connector can be improved, and the plug terminals can be properly assembled with the plug insulated housing.
