摘要： A method of transmitting and receiving a channel quality indicator (CQI) for a sleep-mode mobile station is disclosed. When data to be transmitted to the mobile station is present, the mobile station which is in a sleep mode is directed to transition to a normal mode and simultaneously a temporary CQI channel is allocated thereto. Thus the mobile station which has transitioned to the normal mode from the sleep mode efficiently transmits the CQI, and data applying a proper modulation and coding scheme can be transmitted.

The method for transmitting an uplink pilot signal in a wireless communication system includes forming a basic unit including a plurality of pilot Resource Elements (REs) and data REs and having a size of 4 subcarriers×9 Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) symbols, setting the plurality of pilot REs in the basic unit, and transmitting the basic unit to a base station. Each of the REs is time-frequency resource defined by one symbol index and one subcarrier index.

摘要： A method for efficiently transmitting and receiving a paging message and system information from and in a mobile station of a broadband wireless access system is disclosed. A method for receiving a paging message in a mobile station comprise receiving paging information from a serving base station, the paging information including paging sub group identifier (paging sub_group ID) indicating a paging sub group to which the mobile station belongs; and receiving the paging message for a predetermined paging interval of the paging sub group, wherein the paging sub group is determined separately from a paging group and a geographical location determining the paging group, and is maintained while the mobile station is being operated in an idle mode.

The present invention provides a fast and stable data broadcasting service through a communication-broadcasting integration personalized data broadcasting service.
