Abstract:
A system configured to be installed in an aircraft, the system comprising a first functional domain and a second functional domain. The first and second functional domains are configured to provide a first and service, respectively. The system further comprises a wireless access point configured to be externally managed by a controller and configured to communicate with a mobile terminal. The system comprises a controller configured to communicate with the wireless access point, the first and the second functional domains, configured to control the wireless access point and configured to control wireless access of the mobile terminal to the first and second functional domains. Further, the use of such a system in an aircraft, an aircraft comprising such a system and a method of controlling wireless access of a mobile terminal to a first functional domain and a second functional domain in an aircraft are disclosed.
Abstract:
A mobile monitoring device including a data signal interface for coupling to a data line arranged in an aircraft and carrying one or more sensor signals, such that, in operation, the data signal interface branches off and receives as input signal part of the energy of the sensor signals carried on the data line such that the input signal is characteristic of the one or more sensor signals, and provide an output signal characteristic of the input signal. The mobile monitoring device further includes a wireless communication interface connected to the data signal interface for receiving the output signal and adapted to wirelessly transmit the output signal to a remote location. The present disclosure further relates to a system including an aircraft and the mobile monitoring device, and to a method of collecting sensor measurement data from a plurality of sensors of an aircraft using the mobile monitoring device.
Abstract:
This relates to a System and a method for determining weight of freight units and baggage. Such a system comprises a Unit Load Device (ULD), an internal system of the Unit Load Device (ULD) and a digital memory unit, wherein the internal system is configured for retrieving individual identification and weight data of items within the Unit Load Device (ULD), for calculating a gross weight of the Unit Load Device (ULD) by summing the individual weight data of the items together with empty weight data of the Unit Load Device (ULD) and for storing a list of all identified items based on the identification data as well as the calculated gross weight of the Unit Load Device (ULD) in the digital memory unit.
