    摘要: An evaporation source designed so that two or more materials to be evaporated are heated to evaporate by respective heaters, as well as method of using such an evaporation source are disclosed. The evaporation source further includes means for detecting the temperature of the slowly evaporating material and means for controlling the heaters on the basis of the detected temperature. The method of using this evaporation source comprises controlling the temperature of the slowly evaporating material in order to control the temperature of the evaporation source in such a manner that the respective materials are simultaneously heated to evaporate and deposit a film on a substrate.

    摘要: A non-contact type of developing device for use in an image forming apparatus having an image forming body, includes a developer conveying body facing the image forming body in which a magnet body having a plurality of magnet poles are attached therein, to convey two-component developer in the form of a developer layer onto a developing area and a control electrode provided at the developing area or upstream of the developing area. The control electrode has an electrically insulating member which is in contact with or close to the developing layer, and an electrode to which a voltage is applicable is attached to the insulating member. The following condition is satisfied: ##EQU1## where D.sub.T represents a number of toner layers on the assumption that the toner particles passing through the developing area are filled most densely, D.sub.WS represents a conveying amount (mg/cm.sup.2) of the developer layer at the developing area on the developer conveying body, T.sub.c represents a toner concentration (%) in the developer, dt represents an average sphere equivalent diameter (.mu.m) of toner in the developer, .rho.t represents a toner density (g/cm.sup.3) in the developer, vs represents a circumferential speed (mm/s) of the developer conveying body at the developing area, and vp represents a circumferential speed (mm/s) of the image forming body at the developing area.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus such as an electrophotographic copier and an electrophotographic printer. The image forming apparatus includes: a photoreceptor for forming a toner image on its surface; a charger for charging the surface with a bias voltage, including a DC component and a AC component, through a magnetic brush member which is in contact with the surface; a driving unit for moving both of the surface of the photoreceptor and the magnetic brush member in synchronism; a laser unit for imagewisely exposing a predetermined image area of the surface, which is charged by the charger, so that a latent image is formed on the surface; and a discharge lamp for exposing the surface with light so that the surface is discharged. In such the image forming apparatus, the discharge lamp starts exposing the surface with the light and the bias voltage, with which the surface is charged, is set at substantially 0 volt before the driving starts moving the surface and the magnetic brush member; and the predetermined image area of the surface is charged with the bias voltage, including the DC component and the AC component, after the driving starts moving the surface and the magnetic brush member.

    摘要: The invention provides an apparatus for forming a toner image by reversal development. In the apparatus, there are provided an electric charger for uniformly charging a photoreceptor to a given electrostatic potential; the photoreceptor discharging in response to an exposure light to form an electrostatic latent image, the photoreceptor having a predetermined light decay curve indicating a relation between an amount of the exposure light and a discharged potential on the exposed portion wherein an absolute value of the differential coefficient of the light decay curve is small when the amount of the exposure light is small and the value sharply becomes large when the amount of the exposure light increases; a laser beam exposure device for exposing the photoreceptor with a dot-shaped light beam; and a developing device for providing toner onto the exposed portion of the latent image, thereby forming a toner image.
