    摘要: Image forming apparatus having a photosensitive drum 1, a charger 2 for uniformly charging the photosensitive drum 1, an exposing means 3 for forming an electro-static latent image on the photosensitive drum 1, an exposing unit 4 for forming a visual image by developing the electro-static latent image, a transfer roller for transferring the visual image to a printing medium 10, which comprises a transfer voltage supply circuit that supplies the transfer roller 5 one or more times with voltage in one polar direction and successively in the other polar direction during an interval after starting of operation of the image forming apparatus and before the time when the printing medium 10 is transported to the transfer roller 5. By controlling in such a way, an image forming apparatus is provided in which memory effect does not arise, the transfer roller 5 being prevented from having accumulated toner attached thereto, the toner attached to the transfer roller 5 being cleaned, and so the reverse side surface of the printing medium 10 is not stained.

    摘要: A picture image forming apparatus including a photoreceptor belt driven by a drive device, a plurality of developing devices for forming toner picture images on the photoreceptor belt, an intermediate transfer device, to a surface of which toner picture images on the photoreceptor belt are overlappingly transferred plural times when a picture image is to be formed on a single page, and a transfer roller for pushing a sheet against the intermediate transfer device in order to transfer toner picture images to the sheet. The intermediate transfer device is an intermediate transfer belt contacted by the photoreceptor belt to be driven thereby. A photoreceptor-side roller enables contact of the intermediate transfer belt and the photoreceptor belt, and the intermediate transfer belt is trained around the photoreceptor-side roller and a transfer-side roller for pushing the sheet against the transfer roller. A diameter d2 of the transfer-side roller is smaller than a diameter d1 of the photoreceptor-side roller.

    摘要: In order to provide a magnetic recording medium having excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristics, a magnetic recording medium (10) is provided with a substrate (12), and a magnetic recording layer (20) formed on the substrate (12). The magnetic recording layer (20) is provided with a granular layer (32), i.e., a magnetic layer, including magnetic grains and a nonmagnetic material surrounding the magnetic grains in a section parallel to the main surface of the substrate. The ratio of the long diameter to the short diameter of each magnetic grain contained in the granular layer (32) is calculated in the section. In the histogram of such ratio, a half width at half maximum of the histogram is 0.6 or less and the variance of grain diameters of the magnetic grains in the section is 20% or less of the average grain diameter of the magnetic grains.
